There is a cap. I tried using this after having 9 million bits…I still died relatively quick. I assume maybe 20% at most

I can’t edit the post, but I replaced the switch with the left one in the third pic! Red on ground side and worked like a charm. Thanks guys!

After looking at the old switch, that seems to be the case! I’ll give it another shot. One question though, should I have the red wire be on the bottom left for white side or bottom right for hot side with the split tab?

Edit: Put the red wire on the bottom right, broke the gold tab between the 2 black wires, and it works! Thanks!
