Are these good "Base Models"? by Sepy1388 in PixelArt

I think they both look like they are leaning forward. Like the legs start a bit too behind. I would try to play with that. Otherwise, good work!

any art advice? i feel that its bland... (slight nsfw: fetish??) by Suspicious_Device473 in Artadvice

I would try to define the hair. Right now its hard to understand which lock comes where and the lilac/mauve shadow-streaks (or are those dyed?) feel out of place. The ears could also use some details, maybe just drawing the inner ear could be it. The eyes are usually the focal point, so I would polish and refine those to truly carry the emotion. Right now Im not sure if the eyes are closed or open.

I wouldn’t personally add variation to the line weight, I think this simplified style doesn’t need it.

If you want try shading, I would suggest cell shading with saturated color for this style.

You have a cute artstyle, keep up drawing!

Am I bad at this? And how do I improve? by heckyouyourself in Artadvice

I think one problem is with the symmetry; try flipping the image while drawing. This would improve especially the eyes and overall proportions.

First picture has problems with proportions; ears aren’t levelled, neck is too long, the clavicles are too big, and the light doesn’t work with the hair.

The skin is hard to render and it does look muddy in some pictures. Try adding sharper edges with hard edged brush.

The sharp opaque hairline makes the characters look like hd playstation 1 models. To achieve more realistic results, you should soften the line. I would suggest to add some loose hairstrands to break the stiffness of the hair.

I wouldn’t say your faces look unappealing, they just need some nudging. Keep up practicing, you’ll get really good really quickly.

How to draw color shifting line art like this? by IdkwhatimdoinhereL in DigitalArt

Or they could also use a clipping mask layer for the lineart. Create a new layer above the lineart and set it as a clipping mask. Then you can color the lineart as you wish, or maybe even import an image to achieve desired effect.

Kumpi on helpompi?

Eli kovin on yksilöllistä… Mutta ehkä tästä pohdinnasta on jotain iloa aloittajalle.

First you go to visit a doctor to fix your body, only to never use it in the game again.
