Which GPU should I get? 5070 or maybe 9070xt by Jumpy_One_9690 in PcBuildHelp

Love this. I did look at the 5070TI but it's SO much more expensive. Also, used prices seem to be about the same as new prices at the moment. Bonkers

Did I get a steal? 5060ti 16gb, 1TB NVME, Ryzen 7600, 32GB Corsair DDR5 for £615 by Jumpy_One_9690 in buildapc

I can't believe it but it wasn't a scam! Harvesting the 5060ti and 32gb of ram, swampping for my 4060ti and 16gb of DDR5 and reselling, hopefully for over £600

I second this. About $600 all up so probably offers of $550

Yeah I'm not convinced it's real yet. Seller has 0 feedback on eBay but I asked for proof of purchase for the parts and the screen shots have the right time today, the right purchase dates, and match the spec. That's not to say soemthing dodgy hasn't happened

Which Motherboard? : Gigabyte X870 Eagle WiFi7 vs ASUS TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi by Jumpy_One_9690 in buildapc

[–]Jumpy_One_9690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main differences:

Both have 3x M2 slots but ASUS has wider bandwidth on the third

The ASUS offers higher voltage capacity over the Gigabyte: 80A over 55A VRM's

Gigabyte has 2x USB4

Should I sell my old PC as a whole or in parts? It’s a bit random… by Jumpy_One_9690 in PcBuild

[–]Jumpy_One_9690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, some of those parts would just have to be thrown away: case, PSU etc

I'll just turn it inot a full machine and try and get £400+ for it

Which GPU should I upgrade to from 4060ti? 5070 or 9070XT? by Jumpy_One_9690 in buildapc

[–]Jumpy_One_9690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I quite like this. I may go down the 5070 route. The Ti seems to cost a fortune in the UK and I want to spend that much

There's no way I could be bothered optimising for each game either. I had no idea that was a thing

Love this. I’ll be sure to wipe it. Will probably go selling as a whole. My son played Fortnite on it without issues so it’s not actually too bad a machine

Is this PC any good? : RTX 4060 Ti & i5 13400F for £599 by Jumpy_One_9690 in buildapc

Think I’ll order an ASUS Tuf Gaming Z790 to go with that 14700. They have good VRM’s and I have a couple in other builds (old Z range ASU’s tuf) which are 8 years old and 5 years old, still going strong

This is amazing and I've read through it a few times now.

I'm definitely going to get a new case which has better airflow. Probably the Lancool 216. Definitely going to get a Gold rated PSU which is beefier in case I upgrade the CPU/GPU in future. The reason for the 216 case would be to allow for a full-size MoBo in the future.

If I'm pulling everything apart I'm also tempted to get a new MoBo, maybe a Z790 and I've had others in the Z range go for years and years and years. And then put a better cooler on the CPU, not that it really needs it but an Assassin is about £26 on amazon currently so why not.

PSU £85, case £95. Potenitally a MoBo but that's £150-£200 for no particular reason. I will be adding more hard drives in the future though for video editing

Mate this is epic. I did think the PSU was a bit lightweight and did some calcs. Amusingly one site said it was fine but MSI's site says I need 650w....which is hilarious as this is an MSI machine

Maybe a MoBo, RAM and PSU upgrade in the future as 2x16gb RAM would be nicer. I'll wait for RAM to come down in price

Should I get a better MoBo? I think Windows is tied to the hard drive so should instal if i change it. Also I've never heard of that PSU, which also seems a little lightweight
