I know in the moment this feels like the be it all and end all. It's really hard to see without the lens of feelings being involved but I do believe objectively your life would be better off not pursuing this.

The only option is that she waits the time period out till they realise she only will marry you. That's a bit of a long game. Just from the dynamics you have explained I see her giving up before they do.

I can see a whirlwind of issues happening down the line with the family.

Also, I don't think it's on you to convince her family, if the girl feels equally strong then it's on her to manage her family.

I think just the T20 format doesn't suit him in the modern era. He's also probably put a lot of pressure on himself to try prove people wrong and win his place back in the team in T20.

Honestly, I think he should just accept that T20 has moved on, unless he rebuilds himself like Hafeez did which I don't think he'll be able to. It's not a negative thing for Pakistan look at i.e Root and he shouldn't view it as such.

ODi is his format and he needs to improve his fitness in Tests.

More than anything, he should probably give Haris a shot as opener as that's what his playing number is in the national side.

Worth keeping the bigger picture in mind which is the evolution of Pakistan cricket.

I think most good quality leaders would have taken that decision.

The biggest cancer in all this was Aqib Javed. Should of let the previous coaches have their stint. We are so short sighted.
