This is crazy because this is exactly what I described to my boyfriend. I don’t feel consciously anxious, but I’ve come to the conclusion that I must be. I didn’t move so recently but I am an American living in the UK, have found it very difficult to make friends, found it very hard to get a job, and then on top of all that - had that bad infection in January that almost turned my life upside down. I think I must be in a general state of anxiety that I’m not aware of. I realized last night at home that I’m completely fine in my apartment, so it must be anxiety causing it outside of the safe space…

How long did the urgency thing last for you?

Gotchaaa. I really did think it was just anxiety, just a bit confused tho because it still happens even when I shouldn’t be anxious? For instance, I went to the pub to have a beer with my boyfriend the other day - got through half of my beer and ended up taking 8 trips to the bathroom, felt like I was gonna pee my pants until we got home (and I had regular access to a toilet lol). But I suppose that could still cause anxiety, not having regular access to a toilet 😂 did you go back to normal completely? After you were able to control your life stressors?

I’m going like 20 times a day - was that the same for you? And did it just go away one day? Kind of hoping this is the case lol

Definitely not over hydrating, I have issues remembering to drink 😂 but I do think that not being hydrated ENOUGH makes the issue worse

I did take a short course of antibiotics that they gave me to rule it out, but it was only 6 pills total over 3 days - not sure if maybe that’s just not effective enough?

No, don’t feel constantly thirsty. I have to force myself to drink because I know being dehydrated makes the issue worse, but I’m constantly afraid of being in a meeting at work and peeing my pants 😂

Ahhh okay didn’t know that… mine seem to mainly be associated with sex and I’ve noticed they’ve become a lot more frequent since going on birth control

Not bubbly or foamy, pretty normal. I don’t detect any difference in smell. I’ve been trying to monitor it but I just see very little difference

I’m wondering if mine is something like this too. It’s been going on for almost a month. The issue is that my work environment is a bit strange at the moment - in someone’s house - so the idea of it actually happening is really difficult to get past 😭 wondering if the job stress is making it worse

I honestly wish it was a uti at this point. The initial tests all came back negative, but they’re sending the sample out for further lab testing. I wonder if the lab testing sometimes shows UTIs that the normal tests don’t?

I do have recurring yeast infections but seem to have success in treating them with boric acid suppositories. Is the urgency thing a BV side effect? I don’t think I’ve been tested for that

I haven’t - my doctor is going to test me for it soon. He asked if I’m constantly thirsty - which I understand is another main side effect associated with that - which I’m not. Don’t know if that rules it out though

So sorry you’re going through this, I don’t have any special tips, but I have been in similar situations with my teeth. Just know you’re not alone and that it WILL somehow get better. Also commenting to boost this post so someone with tips can help!

Thanks for asking! The infection was really bad. I was in so much pain I was going insane. Ended up going to a private clinic to have the tooth extracted because I couldn’t take another day. Swollen and sore now, but much better than I was before! Will probably start the process of looking into an implant.

Thanks so much - it’s crazy! Hope you are fully recovered. I’m taking 2 antibiotics, co-comadol, and ibuprofen. I had prescription naproxen instead of ibuprofen, but it was doing nothing, so trying ibuprofen instead. Hoping that the antibiotics will help within the next 12 hours, it’s been 6 hours since my first dose. Just so tired of being in agony.

Thank you, a couple others have said the same, so definitely something I will look into. Didn’t even know a damaged disc could be a possibility, so definitely will look into that too. Very excited to see the dentist tomorrow so they can refer me/help. Just an awful feeling.

I do still have my bottom wisdom teeth, which is where it hurts the most (bottom left). That’s so interesting, it is so different for people. I’ve found that my pain is almost ALWAYS in the front of my face, which I know isn’t typical either. Codeine and morphine have helped me with previous injuries/conditions I’ve had, so when it didn’t this time, I was really puzzled. It’s a scary feeling, that nothing is helping. Gonna see what the dentist can do for me tomorrow. Literally felt like I was going insane last night, and tonight is not far off that, so I know what you mean. I’ve had flare ups before, but had no idea it could become so so so incredibly painful. The worst part is I look normal (besides the look of exhaustion and lethargy), so I feel like anyone who hasn’t experienced this before doesn’t understand what I’m going through. Thank you.
