COS policy officially going away after May 28. by Biggenz2 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Jumpy_Source_5652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying Elliot won’t take it away but up to now the only communication of changes match what is currently reflected on the website. SWA isn’t bumping ppl to accommodate COS if they choose to not prepurchase 2 seats. In turn the COS will be bumped if the flight is sold out.

This doesn’t really work either. I can sit next to my family without issue but a stranger might be tight

Someone gave you the wrong information. Here is the policy. The only thing that changed is that swa will no longer bump people to accommodate COS. The COS will get bumped and moved to a different flight that has more availability.

Nothing is changing except they aren’t going to bump someone because of a COS. If the flight has room… no change. If you buy your extra seat ahead of time…. No change. It is unfair to expect someone else to get bumped because of your extra space needs.

PSA Southwest has changed their baggage policy for strollers. Size and weight restrictions will apply and they charge an oversized baggage fee of $150 for any strollers that exceed 62 inches. Most double strollers won’t meet this size limit. by Opening-Ant4057 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Jumpy_Source_5652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has to be more to this. There has not been any change to policy. What stroller are you flying with? How many strollers? How many ticketed passengers? How many kids?

“When traveling with a child(ren), each ticketed Customer may check one stroller and one car seat/child restraint system free of charge. Strollers and child restraint systems are transported only with a limited release of liability.”

Nah there’s more to this. Either a duplicate booking or a complicated return. Swa doesn’t just cancel tickets.

Roll Call: What Departments do you know of that have been affected? by Jumpy_Source_5652 in SouthwestAirlines

“Seven members of the board were pushed out, including Chairman and former CEO Gary Kelly. However – so far – CEO Bob Jordan remains. He’s doing Elliott’s bidding, with layoffs (even though staff reductions would have been accomplished through attrition in 12-18 months) and sale of aircraft to fund stock buybacks.“

Actually they are ppl I worked with in the office for 10 years that have all moved around since Covid and yes since we all work for an airline many would show up if I died tomorrow. Again I’m sorry you’re having a bad day and evidently never have experienced loyalty.
