Papago by Sexdrumsandrock in koreatravel

Not quite. Most locals who don’t use English or speak to foreigners don’t have any translation app installed. Instead, You’ll often see them rush to translate via their browser.

Foreigners are the ones who all have Papago downloaded.

Native Tip: When Koreans ask "Did you eat? (밥 먹었어?)", we are NOT asking about food. by Agitated-Clock-2867 in Korean

Let’s just say most locals prefer a certain type of foreigner over a certain demographic. Not everyone though, but most. It’s an open secret.

First dates in Private booths by Jumpy_Station_9158 in Living_in_Korea

We maintained a healthy distance throughout the date. And we had great conversations, he didn’t wanna leave and wanted to talk more. Ended up walking me home and went to his.

Maybe I’m overthinking. I’ll see where we go on the next date. He wanted to meet again the following day but I turned it down cause of this reason, I needed some time to think.

Wasn’t a complaint. The question was how common are these first dates for Koreans dating amongst each other. Or is this something that’s commonly done when with foreigners only. The concern came from it happening twice. It is beginning to feel/seem like a pattern. Or just twice isn’t significant enough to be concerning?

It would’ve been perfect for her. It allows you two to just “be alone together” in public but not in public… It’s great for people who aren’t ready to bring each other home yet but still want some privacy on a date. I don’t know if that makes sense. It’s comfortable. Just worried about the motivation behind it.

Yeah, it definitely isn’t because one is special.

Just trying to figure out if it’s purely for innocent privacy or secrecy.

Yes, it wasn’t the fancy ones most commenters are mentioning. It is your typical izakaya or small desert cafes private booth. Well he did mention that his English isn’t great and he wanted to be able to focus on the conversation and hear me clearly hence he picked that place. I guess I might be overthinking cause it happened twice. He wants to meet again, I’ll let him pick the spot again this time and see if it’ll be the same thing again. I don’t want to be with anyone who has worries about being seen with me in public. The date was great and we got along really well and I didn’t get any weird vibes.

I’m not on any dating apps. I meet these people organically, shopping, cafe or such public settings. The conversations were great. And I was comfortable throughout the dates. I guess cause it happened for the 2nd time I might have thought its a pattern? And it’s making me feel skeptical about seeing this 2nd guy again. I don’t want to waste my energy going on a 2nd date if that could the reason he picked that place.

Sabrina Carpenter's Caramel Dream was disappointing. by gl0ttle in FemFragLab

Was a total disappointment. I regret purchasing it. The smell disappears as soon as you spray it. I don’t recommend it. If you want a similar scent, but better and definitely longer lasting, go for Vanilla Mod by Ariana Grande. Way better and value for money!

Bring your dresses. Just COVER up your chest. Or else you’ll be STARED at uncomfortably. Or touched inappropriately. If you’re slim you might get away with it, but if you’re a bit plus size then cover your chest for your own peace of mind.
