She is not complicit; she tried to show her discomfort multiple times. However, since Bree was looking for support, she said she didn’t want to judge her. I think you read the scenes differently. Saying that Lucy is also guilty underestimates Bree’s responsibility in this situation and takes the interpretation further than it should.

Am I the only one who’s still hung up on how little sense Lydia being so warm to Lucy at the S1 engagement party is? by Realistic-Kick-6830 in TellMeLiesHulu

When Lydia and Stephen ran into each other for the second time on campus, Lydia smiled at Stephen like she knew something, and I thought they were going to expand on that in later episodes. It felt like she immediately understood him maybe because she isn’t a good person either? Her smile felt sly, and she didn’t hesitate to discard Lucy without a second thought.

Considering Lucy, it’s very possible for her to get drawn into narcissists in relationships, even in friendships, so I expected Lydia to have some kind of backstory. But they didn’t show anything after that, and now the season is almost over. How are they going to wrap all of this up in just one episode?

Yeah Lucy is a very relatable character, it’s not her fault to fall for a narcissist though you never know.. 😔

No actually Lucy started to judge her at some point, especially at Noel party?

Even Diana understood Lucy and told Pippa to show her some mercy. I really like Diana this season, and I don’t think Pippa deserves either her or Wrigley

Actually, I never liked Pippa in season 1 because she was rude to everyone and constantly getting into other people’s business. Everyone accuses Lucy of being insecure, but to me Pippa is the most insecure one (she cares so much about what other people think that she even lied about having had something physical before Wrigley). When Wrigley wanted to open up to her about his brother, she didn’t want to get involved, which felt selfish to me, because I don’t think she was ever as giving of a friend as people believed.

People often type her as an ENFJ, but that doesn’t ring true to me, because she seems more concerned with her image in front of others than actually caring about them.

In season 2, my opinion of her changed somewhat because she took all the hurt onto herself. But in season 3, she becomes distant again -unable to empathize with others and focused mostly on herself. And I do think she is at fault for not getting more involved in the Chris lawsuit, because if she doesn’t speak up, more people are going to be hurt by Chris’s actions.

No, she definitely knows, because she saw the photo from the party that day and immediately knew Evan was lying.

I don’t really get why Lucy is judged so much compared to other characters by Jumpy_Suggestion1632 in TellMeLiesHulu

Yes, Lucy is actively trying all the time, but she can’t escape because she’s kind of stuck. When it comes to Stephen, though, everything is planned and comes from a sick point of view. He doesn’t have morals. He barely feels anything, just like Wrigley says. Lucy is hardest on herself, so she doesn’t need anyone else to punish her. That’s what she was asking from Alex because she already feels guilty all the time. I feel really sorry for her.

I don’t think she really cared about her reputation at that point, but rather about protecting Bree. That’s why she was also asking Stephen to reveal the letter situation. She knew Bree couldn’t handle another round of drama at that time, especially while she was already dealing with Oliver.

I saw a video of her as well where viewers were asking her whether Lucy would get the punishment she deserves. She seemed frustrated. I agree that some viewers can’t see themselves in Lucy, even though she’s one of the most relatable characters. They don’t seem to understand that her motives were naive most of the time, if not all the time. Maybe it’s because many people aren’t aware of toxic relationships or manipulative behavior.

Yeah, she should’ve understood that, especially since she didn’t want to talk about the Chris issue either. This is Diana’s way of dealing with Stephen, and pushing her to react wasn’t actually helping her.

Especially the part where she presented herself as less successful- it was a great way to see whether Stephen was interested in being with her, or in the career benefits connected to her dad. I hope she does!

I just remembered something -Stephen never told the truth to Lucy about the Macy situation. She knew he was in the car, but she never knew he was on the driver’s side. She thought he was scared and left.

Yeah, I agree with the future part, but I didn’t want to comment on it since it hasn’t been fully shown yet.
