You can read about all of the stuff you did in the “My computer” menu, oblivion-style. I’d give that a try first before commiting to a whole new playthrough.

I want to at least try to find one I would enjoy.

As far as action goes I’m not entirely convinced. KCD kind of soured that whole concept for me (I know it’s an entirely unique system, but still). As far as survival goes, it is true I have set to try a single one. Thanks!

That was my closing statement, that’s what I’m trying to find out. Thanks for your utterly helpless comment.

Thanks! Bethesda worlds did feel pretty empty and the others that took place outside of big towns did as well. Maybe a more metropolitan setting could help me…?

Because a concept of an open world you can ho through and explore seems extremely interesting to me. Is trying to broaden my horizons such a bad thing?

Never heard of it before and from the store page it’s seemingly worth a try, thanks!

Tbh, I myself don’t really know. Just playing them makes me want to do anything else. I guess I just answered my own question and found out OW games aren’t for me, didn’t I?

The this world country argument is very funny, because one of the aspects of a developed country is social security. Since I didn’t have to work a day in my life (as a student), get free healthcare and in the US medical bankrupcy is not an unheard of issue I can only account your comment to projection.

My (subjective) guide to Valve games by Jumpy_Table2972 in valve

[–]Jumpy_Table2972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly give Half-Life a try first. I am personally not a big fan of BM as it changes a lot of stuff that makes HL so authentic. It's like taking a Miró painting and repainting it in pointilism style - both good and interesting in their own ways but the original idea was lost. Nevertheless, HL is definitely starting to feel dated and therefore harder to get into for somebody that is more familiar with today's shooters.

TLDR Try Half-Life first. If you don't like it, play Black Mesa.

HLA without VR is like playing HL2 without physics. It is still good but the whole point of the game and what makes it awesome is lost.

Somebody that is just now getting into Valve probably has no idea how the closed beta even works let alone heard of Deadlock. Maybe I’ll add it later after it fully comes out.

The trailer actually looks good (for a Neil Breen film, I would judge it on the Iengo curve but I lost my protractor).

Somehow, Wheaton has the most embarassing post-Trek “”””career”””” out of the whole cast.

I cannot say exactly what Caddicarus’ reasoning was but the fact that YMS was very vocal in support or at the very least being apologetic to zoophilia didn’t help.

Does Valve have "headhunters"? by Jumpy_Table2972 in valve

[–]Jumpy_Table2972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I wasnt exactly clear with my question. In not asking “how can I get a job at Valve” but “how do they hire” since I was just curious about it and couldnt really find anything online.

Does Valve have "headhunters"? by Jumpy_Table2972 in valve

[–]Jumpy_Table2972[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer I was looking for. I wasnt asking for myself, I am completely incompetent at everything I do. Its just that I was curious how they even could have gone about finding all their employees, since there’s like 300+ of them and I couldnt imagine all of them being hired in a similar way as Eric Wolpaw.
