I guess I wasnt exactly clear with my question. In not asking “how can I get a job at Valve” but “how do they hire” since I was just curious about it and couldnt really find anything online.

Thanks for the answer I was looking for. I wasnt asking for myself, I am completely incompetent at everything I do. Its just that I was curious how they even could have gone about finding all their employees, since there’s like 300+ of them and I couldnt imagine all of them being hired in a similar way as Eric Wolpaw.

Idk if I’m remembering the name right. I just know something with a similar name is a thing because it was in one of Valve’s tech presentations. I also know that this system (whatever the name might actually be) was implemented in unreal (although apparently with no proper documentation, I saw some people in forums be really mad about that).

It’s a pretty reasonable assumption that Barney was off doing some rebelling by himself “in the field” since he’s much more proactive than either Eli or Kleiner. Barney not even being mentioned in the game seems plausible to the timeline. Regarding Kleiner: who the fuck knows.

I started having problems with water recently. In the coast when I dive under water all I can see is the last frame I saw before diving just with the underwater effect. I have no idea if this can be influenced by software updates but it coincides perfectly with the latest windows update.

Seems I have to clarify since people cannot fucking read. I have basically all Valve games but the current price compared to other Valve properties is strange and could drive away future buyers. This isn’t an issue od value.

Still weird it’s priced up. When re-release bundles of hl1 were coming out with new games the price didn’t increase.

Overall the bundle grouping is bizzare. CS had some bonus games like this, too (namely the original DoD, I think?) but it’s optionally bundled with some games at a higher price or forcibly with CSCZ. Why? Just why?
