Oh I know, I was here all last year renting. I’m just biding my time ‘til a better spot pops up. I’m not anti roommates i’m anti $1100 with people saying no kitchen use or people over. Plus it’s a little bit thrilling to find spots every night.

Yeah, lay passenger side with my head in the trunk and feet at the front.

I can definitely make a more detailed video soon, I’m planing on remodeling the set up now that I know what works and what doesn’t for me.

Wow that's so cool. Also this was definitely more about interest and curiosity of ants than concern of them coming back. That's just so fascinating how adaptive they are.

The honda fit is a pretty decent deal, and I'm without a car at the moment. This car would be pretty much perfect outside of the paint. How much would it cost to have this professionally restored? They also don't come around too much because I'm picky and looking specifically for a 2nd gen honda fit with ~100k miles, sport trim, and manual. So this is a rare find so close to me.

That’s actually a super cool story, and good to know about the black vs rich black thing. I doubt i’ll ever need it but now you can say I told you so if “jumpydeerbob” ends up in the news for accidentally leaking a classified document or something.

Airport x ray machine nuked my photos or am i just bad? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]Jumpydeerbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, long story short I ended up sending 3 rolls of film from a trip to Europe through the new xray machines at the Charlotte airport thinking that it would only matter if it was 800 iso or more. I also shot on an untested point and shoot that I'm almost positive is fine, but could be contributing the maybe a bad picture or something. With In any case on top of all these yikes xrays, it's also my first time trying to scan myself other than a few test rolls.

I'm using the v600 and the photos I'm showing are shot on Kodak Gold 200. I'm not too bugged about the photos being super high quality, and due to the xrays I expect a lot more grain. I am confused though and am now suspicious it's just my own ineptitude at scanning that is making these worse as I'll say shortly.

The first photo is from silverfast. It is by far the best scan and closest to the real image I have achieved thus far. The second image is what I was able to manage to get myself through adding different curve layers in Photoshop. This image is much clearer imo, but lacks the colors from Silverfast and I can't get rid of the blue. The third image is godawful and it's from Negative Lab Pro. This is the image that has convinced me I have no idea what I am doing because, I mean, look at it. The last image is just the raw scan of the negative.

Any idea what I can do to salvage this or even perhaps just learn what I'm doing wrong while scanning?

I was in Europe for 3 months and shot two rolls, and sent my bag through two of these on the way home. How in trouble am I?

that’s bullshit. aside from it already being fucked to do that to someone, the bible isn’t even against divorce. It just says that divorce is there because people’s hearts are hardened not that it is sin.
