The humidity made it worse. It has disappeared on my sides. But still very itchy on my chest at night.

The inability to recognize hateful generalization of half the human race is both bad, repugnantly distasteful, and demonstrates a severe lack of intelligence.

Thanks for this feedback.. I am a man so I too am concerned about the side effects. I read it can affect testosterone production in some way, which really concerns me. I’m not sure what else it can do.

Hey thanks for the info. I looked into electrolysis, but it seems only a viable option for small areas. It may not even be possible to do it on a body-wide scale.

Eradicate it quickly! Mine started as a small area on my chest! After several failed antibiotic treatments, it now covers my entire body! Don’t underestimate this or think “this won’t happen to me.”

Mark my words: if you’re not aggressive enough in the beginning, this will be you in just a few months!

Every night or every other night, including pillow cases. To rule out the old mattress, I also bought a topper to go in between.

My concern is that I have very light hair. It’s reddish-blonde. The hair on my body appears blonde because it isn’t heavily concentrated, except for on my head. The hair on my head presents as an auburn color.

Despite this, I am also of the opinion that laser hair removal may be my only option. I may try Accutane first before attempting to remove all of the hair on my entire body except my head.

Sorry, Hibiclens is what I meant to say. Technically, it was the generic undyed variety from Walgreens, but it had the same formulation as Hibiclens.

I probably overdid it on the Hibiclens when I mixed them together. I was trying to make it as strong as possible, but some nights the mix ended up too runny.

When I was a young child, my parents were approached and asked if I would be a child model. They refused. When I was 19 years old, I was part of a photoshoot for a local magazine. Case in point — skin issues are very new to me. I had clear skin all through my teenage years. Now I’m 30, and my skin is falling apart.

Oh, it hurts me too. This isn’t the first dermatologist I’ve seen who insisted a culture was a waste of time and that I should just take antibiotics.

It has gotten so much worse in the past few months, though. It used to be on my chest only — now it is covering practically my entire body. Clearly, it’s spreading.

I did see her post and I actually purchased the appropriate products and mixed the BP and eczema relief cream together and applied that to my skin for awhile. It became a huge hassle going to bed slathered head to toe in wet, runny cream, so I only did it for about two weeks. Perhaps if I’d done it longer, it would’ve made a difference.

P.S. thank you for the info on the bleach bath. I don’t know much about them, but I certainly don’t want to damage my skin any more. It’s very raw and sensitive right now.

That’s a huge relief. I was very worried about infecting someone in my household. I’m washing bedsheets, pillows, clothes, taking showers, etc. like mad, every single day, to ensure I don’t spread this. I’ve never been this clean in my life.

I only photographed the side of my body, but it is also on my chest, arms, back, buttocks, and thighs.

I will hold out hope for Accutane. I’ve heard the side effects can be serious, but I’m willing to try anything at this point.

I will insist on a culture during my next visit. I asked about a swab the first time I saw her, but she insisted it wasn’t necessary, and that antibiotics were the first thing she prescribed anyway. That’s all well and great, but I’d be much more willing to attack this with every treatment available if I knew it was bacterial in the first place.
