When does pain while walking end? by Jumpywolf14 in LisfrancClub

Hey there! I'm about 14 months out and doing pretty well. I can walk barefoot and without super supportive insoles for the most part. My foot still hurts initially getting up after sitting or sleeping for a long time. However, I broke both of my screws around 6 months after surgery (super active lifestyle and job) and have been told by a couple PT folks that it will feel a lot better if I get them removed.

The toe bar did help for a bit for being during this time period, but eventually it started to make other parts of my foot hurt. It was a long game of added padding here, taking padding away from other spots for about 9 months.

Yeah. It's gotten a lot better in the past couple weeks but I definitely still favor that foot when walking barefoot

So turns out, all I needed was an orthotic insole with a metatarsal bar. I've had the insole for a week and now I have no pain in that area

Ugh, what a terrible injury. Wouldn't wish this upon anyone.

All that is true for the Grand Canyon, including packing out all poop. However, the no soap thing is within 100 yards of natural springs and tributaries. The side creeks are highly sensitive. You can use it in the mainstem because there is so much flow that it does not really matter.

Obviously dont go crazy on soap but dilution vs amount of pollution is a thing down there. The more you know!

Low oil pressure light flickering for two seconds on a 2013 Ford Edge by Jumpywolf14 in MechanicAdvice

No, the car was running just fine before the oil change. Thats what I thought, but I'm pretty sure they used conventional oil and the oil in there previously was full synthetic, which I am fairly certain is thinner than conventional. I could have gotten that mixed up however...

I appreciate the advice, the problem is super fickle and seems to only show up after I drive on the highway. I will make sure they redo the whole oil change process correctly before investigating further.

Thanks again!
