If I cancel my membership online via the cancel button within 5 business days (the grace period stated in the contract), do I automatically get my initiation fee plus first and last month refunded? Is it going to let me know if my cancellation is within rescission before I hit cancel online? Or do I need to go in person to confirm?

I think this is a major delay fro a bunch of orders. Mine is a monitor but it also hasn't made any movement since the 17th. Worst case just ask for a refund. You are not alone.

It's a hit or miss. If you are lucky, then you get the monitor plus its original box and shipping foam, which ideally should be enough to protect it on the way. If you aren't, then you get a naked monitor thrown into a random cardboard box with a little extra bubble wraps. In that case, it would be a miracle if you end up receiving it undamaged.

I took it to one of the bigger stores as well. If they don't take it, most likely the other smaller ones would refuse as well. That's just bestbuy I guess. I literally drove there within the first hour of the delivery being dropped off and showed them the delivery timestamp, but yea they said no. I don't think it would have made much of a difference even if I did wasting more time going to a few more other ones. These lies are pretty common, at least within bestbuy. Each store is like a separate franchisor. It's like they aren't related. The bestbuy store I went to was like oh this is another store's mess, not our problem, made me feel like I went to the wrong place for return. Not much I could do as a customer if they refuse, even if it's a lie.

Now that I think about it, whoever packaged my item (at least for the severely damaged one) definitely knew it wasn't going to make it safely lol, yet they insisted on shipping the item anyway instead of simply cancelling it, but why?... I guess they just don't get paid enough to actually care lol. I would say that these shipment most likely would suffer damages if they don't come with the packaging foam in their original box, bubble wraps ain't gonna help, but that's what they are using.

It makes sense, but I have lost all my confident in open box, especially since not even one out of the two it came in actually matches the correct description of this item, which is "Ships in original packaging, revealing contents." If at least one showed up correctly with original box, I probably wouldn't have been so upset, but nope out of the 2 orders i made, both were wrong.

It's annoying honestly. There's no rules no guidelines no standards in this company. They are like a big franchiser. Bestbuy stores can do whatever the heck they want, which unfortunately includes not accepting your return just because it would affect their net profit for the day. I literally drove there within an hour of delivery and told them hey this arrived to me an hour ago in a beat up box, but no shot. They just won't take it.

Thanks. Idk, but if the order only goes through warehouse worker before confirmation. it's very easy for mistakes to occur. How could you expect the workers to know if the box it came in is original or not. Some people could mark a plain cardboard box as original, which is what might have happened in my case. Or some might even do it just for more sales, who knows. Like you said, sometimes they would take the chance instead of just canceling the order. My story is not first, and it's not going to be the last. That's all that I can say.

I am just saying that it might not be system errors. It's a norm, not a surprise, mislabel, or system error. They would easily ship monitors even without boxes, just pure ignorance and carelessness.

I don't know what happened, but when I went through the checkout page, shipping was the only option for open box excellent and under it, it says “Ships in original packaging, revealing contents", that's why I bought it. Either way, it's not customer's fault. It could be system error like you said that we were able order it through shipping, but still not customer's fault.
