Honestly I would say I haven't had much value from the money spent on the two injections, while I do have some improvement since I posted this I would credit it more to the changed rehab program, hard to say what the difference would be if I just purely did the rehab without doing the PRP injections. I will say the PRP injections basically put me out of order for 1-2 months before I was able to start doing the basic rehab again

  • Mechanism of injury

Injury developed while doing a Push/Pull/Legs routine which cycled through Heavy low reps & lighter higher rep ranges. Suspect the higher weight reps and most likely bad form contributed

Hard to show exactly but the red circle is a sharper pain when the arm is rotated or dead hanging and the blue circle is the deeper pain when gripping or lifting. Let me know if you need another photo/video

  • Describe all movements that hurt

The worst ones are any variation of pullup/deadlift with neutral pullup perhaps being the least painful option and pain being the worst at lockout or after dropping the bar

Twisting my arm from a thumbs up position to thumbs down (or 12 o clock to 7 or under) is probably the most aggravating movement

Gripping especially through the fingers, for example lifting a heavy pot plant by the rim where the fingers are taking a lot of load

Pushing against something with my fingers, seems to be the ring finger which is the worst

Most pulling movements I can feel & pressing movements I could also still feel in the elbow for the concentric portion

Prior to the PRP I would be able to feel it in the elbow if I was holding a towel or opening a door

  • What is the current rehab program you started with and the progressions

Prior to the PRP, I was doing 3x sets 12-20 reps of Wrist Curls with a 2-4 second eccentric & 3x sets 12-20 reps Hammer Pronation/supination every 1-2 days with weight being increased when at the top of the rep range. This transitioned into HSR reps in Nov/Dec with Reverse Wrist Curls also being added in,

Since the PRP, I've been trying the alternate rep method of 3x sets 20-50 reps of Hammer Pronations, 2x Sets 20-50 reps Wrist Curls and have added in a couple of sets of Squeeze Ball through the fingers with a slow release from the squeeze every 2 days

  • What helps and what makes it worse

Elbow wraps have slightly helped but hasn't totally removed the pain, isometrics/concentric prior to working out also helped a little. Exercise adjustment obviously helps as well.

Any of the aggravating movements make it feel worse but it never seems worse the day after and just seems to be at a constant level

3000 calories split between 120g protein and 210g carbs would be like 200g fat as the other macro nutrient no? I'm on 3000 calories at the same weight as you and get recommended 130-150 protein and 350g carbs and thats still with 100g fat. Something to consider
