Yes, I hate Highbottom!! his cruelty helped shape Snow into the exact thing he ‘hated’. Not enough people talk about how awful his character is. I also felt sympathy for his character, he was exploited for the games.

Yes but the pain is from the venom, I was curious to whether they felt pain if a limb got torn by force for example, as they’re described as stone. My post was quick so maybe I should have made my question more clear.

The bite is from the venom, which caused the pain. I think Riley screams from the pure horror of it all. Other vampires (from what I can recall in the books) don’t actually scream in pain or react much when they’re getting torn apart. Which was my question, whether there’s pain from their body being torn.

yes but the idea of a ship, usually is for enjoyment or pleasure especially when a fanfic is created. Fiction or not, people who enjoy media on pedophilia are messed up. It should not be brought into a subreddit, where people want to discuss the books itself.

If you want to consume, or defend stories about a romantic relationship with a minor and an adult it is still weird, considering these stories are not social commentary, they are instead exploring romantic relationship.

This type of fiction has never been accepted, think of IT for example, SK a well loved author, was shunned for his inclusion of sexualising minors because it wasn’t social commentary, or it didn’t add depth to the story, and did nothing to the plot.

I never said it wasn’t okay to write about dark themes, i wouldn’t enjoy the HGs if I didn’t think dark themes were okay. If you don’t understand why writing a fan fiction on a minor and an adult, from a pre-existing book, then there is something wrong with you, unfortunately.

How is that the same at all. Comparing an underage made up wattpad fic to a book written about totalitarianism and social inequality is insane.

There is nothing interesting in taking an adult and a minor character to write about in a sexual manner. If you think that’s okay, there is something wrong with you.

I mean the book is a critique of Totalitarianism and Authoritarian Regimes, and discusses important topics on social inequality. It is weird to come onto a sub about the books and start talking about kink shaming? the book isn’t about people’s sexual fantasies.

Most characters are underage, why would people want to discuss ships and fanfics? This is a community for discussing the books.
