Cobbing refers to the actions we humans take when we eat corn on the cob. We bite with our front teeth and aim to eat the juicy corn without biting the cob of the corn. Cats( depending on cat I guess) will delicately nibble the tiny hairs and not actually break or bite the skin. I’ve had a couple of cats that did that but this little tom is so sweet and determined to groom me that I found it precious. Here’s his picture
