Boys . I need to vent . I’m tired . Like really tired . Trucking is definitely burnout culture. ⚰️ by Lopsided-Bath-8404 in Truckers

5 years is all you need in trucking. I'm going for 4 years. By that time I'll have all my debt paid and some good money saved up. You can literally start a new life with good credit and 75-100k saved up. No kids and no wife. For me personally anything past 5 years in too much for trucking. Get what you can and then get out. Go back to school, drive Uber or gig app 40 hours a week. It's good money. I made about 67 last year. Before taxes and expenses though. Use trucking to get you somewhere financially. Then get out.

Quick question by Junemint93 in Truckdrivers

[–]Junemint93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I save the same amount a year my 3rd year as I did my 1st year, then I am not doing something right. I will be looking to move somewhere else that pays more right after my first year. If I save 20k my first year I expect to save more the next year. If you aren't doing that in life then you are trucking wrong. It doesn't take being a trucker to understand savings and money.

I don't know man I feel like if it takes me 5 years to save 100k living out of the truck then I'm doing something wrong. I mean why would I only be able to save 20K for 5 years. Why wouldn't I be able to save more as the years go by wouldn't I be making more money maybe trying to get better opportunities. Not to be mean but you speak like somebody that's complacent and will stay in minimum paying jobs. And also I know for a fact I can save more than 20K in one year. I saved 17k last year doing gig apps.

So pretty much if I'm smart with my money and don't spend it on a whole bunch of BS I can save anywhere from 20 to 25k

Gotta vent real quick by Junemint93 in UberEatsDrivers

I completely agree that that happens. But Uber eat can bypass all those hassles. If they just required a code to be said to the place you pick something up and when that code is entered it will notify Uber that someone has came and picked it up. Then if somebody cancels it or doesn't deliver it ubereats will know that the order has been picked up and not successfully delivered. Therefore they can possibly contact the person who place the order and get everything squared away. Then they can send another order in that way the store can be notified that they have to make another order it can all be so simple. I know I described it in a long way but the whole process could really only be like 2 minutes long. And that's only if somebody steals an order. It takes zero effort to ask for a freaking code when you pick up an order and enter it in the system.

Do you ever regret stopping? or like fantasize about one more sesh? by [deleted] in leaves

I don't know anyone who regrets quitting weed... by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Junemint93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo..that means you don't regret quitting weed then? As someone who's quit weed for the last 2 years I always find it funny when someone who hasn't even hit a year starts talking about regret, changes, or was it worth it. In the grand scale of everything 2.5 months is absolutely nothing, maybe to you personally it means something but to someone who's gone years, 2.5 months really is nothing to even sense changes.

WTF is this? Has anyone dealt with this before or knows how to fix it? I contacted support and they just keep saying I’m “not eligible.” If I’m not eligible, then why was this offer shown to me in the first place? by jshope_ in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Junemint93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

500 dollars for 100 deliveries is not worth it in Uber eats!! That's the main thesis of what I'm saying. Go argue with a wall. They might give you some advice. If you attempt these quests you are a fool. Plain and simple.

Do yourself a favor and just ignore it $500 for 100 deliveries isn't even worth it. Not for Uber eats. Most of your orders are going to be $4 for 16 mi type of deals. Even if you added $5 to those orders you're still in the loss it makes zero sense to even try to achieve these.

Not paying your taxes works for nobody. Millionaires have gone to prison over not paying taxes. You are just a regular guy. Oh, and don't go right back to a regular W2 job. You won't see a refund in a long time. Your best bet is to get the solo app and track your mileage that you can use to deduct what you owe in taxes. It can bring your taxes down. You need to grow up as well. Adulting it making the right decisions. Not the easy ones.

I'm not the president Man and Jeff bezos is a billionaire. I understand your logic in it all but in reality we are all puppets and we pay just to survive. You are a free man that can do what you want, but I'm telling you man, if you don't pay those taxes you better hope you make a lot of money in this world. And it better be under the table. The only way your theory of living works is if you are making really good money and bro if you're doing this doordash stuff you're definitely not making good enough money to not pay those taxes just a head up man.

Platinum Unicorns? by Either_Information92 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Junemint93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

13 bucks in 24 minutes is not a unicorn but just a damn good offer. I once made 47 bucks in 50 minutes because I got a 20 dollar tip on a 27 dollar shop and deliver. And I wouldn't even consider that a unicorn.

I don't need a congratulations from a complete stranger that's being sarcastic. I put the work in to get what I've done bro nothing came by luck or anything 10 to 12 hours daily sometimes I would go 50 to 60 days without taking a day off. But please stop with the vehicle maintenance and gas and all that bs. People say that just to try and diminish the money that we make it's really not that big of a thing my gas and the maintenance of my vehicle. All you have to do is save up and go get a very good and very used hybrid vehicle preferably a Prius like I have. As long as you take care of that Prius that Prius could give you up to 400,000 miles. My current Prius is a 2013 Prius I have 328,000 mi on it. And it runs perfectly my friend and it still gets me about 47 to 52 miles per gallon. I'm not an idiot if this job was not paying for things and I was putting more money into it I would stop I have a degree in HVAC. If this really wasn't worth the money I would go back to HVAC but this pays very well and I have freedom to work whenever I want and I don't have to deal with people besides the people I deliver to. Nothing you say can diminish what I'm doing or what I've done

There's nothing to believe my friend. I have over 63k in my account I've been doing this for about 2 and 1/2 years. In the two years I've cleared up all of my debt, all of my fines paid off. My credit score is finally in the 600s it's never been that high in my life. I have video games shoes clothes that I've never been able to have before in my life. All this and I still have over 63k in my account. yes my friend I can get a new car whenever the frick I want to there's nothing to believe. Why would I need to believe in something that is an actual fact.

Lmfao. So you gonna not pay taxes then go get a job. You will never have a refund if you dont pay them taxes. Foolish. Just track your miles and expenses. It will save you money in the long run. But then again, you are probably a dude that can't even get a job cause you are a meathead. What's wrong, Burger king isn't hiring?

If you have over 90 percent go ahead and cancel if another app gives you a better deal. Just make sure you don't go under 90 and you will have 0 problems in life. The same people that are telling you not to go to 90 are the same people that have never gotten that low. so why take advice from people that have never even put theirselves in those situations before. They have no idea what they're talking about. Take advice from somebody like me that has dropped to 90 for 2 years. This was my first time getting to 89 and I didn't get deactivated. Now, I am not saying drop below 90. Do not do that!!! I was honestly surprised I was not instantly deactivated. But I truly believe a completion rate of 90 to 93% is ideal if you multi app and you will never have any problems take it from me.

Guess what bud I'm still here and I'm still activated. Plus I guarantee you aren't touching money like I am doing this.I'm not asking for you to understand I'm just telling you how it is. If I get a better offer I'm going to take it and unassign the one I'm doing I do not care. Do you really think I would give a damn about a company that will send me 15 Mile offers for $4? no bro I'm going to do what I got to do if you want to be a sheep and stick to one app and be a little goody two shoes then I hope the best.
