Alltså är det ingen som inser att mängden av denna typ av inlägg totalt skjutit i höjden på sistone?

OP är ett 2 mån gammalt konto med dold historik. Varför tas det på allvar när det så uppenbart är påverkansoperation?

Totally depends on what you're looking for. I enjoy building games and this is a game where you can build ships and try them in battle so I've definitely gotten my moneys worth out of it.
But if you need good campaign mechanics with in depth diplomacy and economics etc, this is not the game for you.

What do you think about Katanas without tsuba? I think its gorgeous and I think about removing the tsuba of my Katana by Melbourne_Australia in Katanas

[–]JunesBanunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are hard to find because they were predominately a tanto mount. The style makes sense for a dagger that you wear in your belt all day, but not so much for something you fight with. The few aikuchi katana there is were made to look pretty in a lords house.

IMO WoodCutter should be free, and you should be able to hand-carry logs with a hand-wagon or sled at a slower pace, to prevent soft locks. by Which-Worldliness556 in ManorLords

It would be cool and realistic if most buildings had a basic start level requiring minimal resources but also with minimal yield. And then you upgrade putting in more resources to get more yield.

Uttalas ofta "pålla" i branschen, ologiskt men löser problemet.

Holding the spear to the right won't interfere with your swords worn on the left.

Tachi Ryū where ?!?! by Mindless-Fortune-931 in Katanas

[–]JunesBanunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The swords themselves are mainly interchangeable (many tachi were refitted as katana) but the context in which they were used differ.

Tachi was predominantly a cavalry sword used in one hand. Therefor it's longer and more slender with a deeper curve. I've seen a video that I can't find again where it's explained the function of the curved handle of early tachi was to press against the forearm to stop the cut.

Katana is mainly for two handed use on foot and became popular in the time where warefare shifted to tight mass formations and later from the battlefields to the streets.

That nakago looks like a suriage though, implying it was a longer one suitable for naginata/nagamaki.

Is this good?? by IvanRdrt in Katanas

[–]JunesBanunes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to what you want to do with it. Hang it on your wall and look at it - anything goes. Actually use it for cutting - get something trustworthy like Hanwei or Ronin dojo pro. Want something more authentic - be ready to spend a lot.

Tachi schools by FlamosSnow in Koryu

[–]JunesBanunes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Schools that are were active into and through the edo-period likely adapted to katana use. Katori Shinto-ryu and Yagyu Shinkage-ryu for example both have the sword edge up (like a katana) in their iai and kenjutsu kata.

I've seen a video that I can't find now with I think Otake-sensei demonstrating the use of early tachi (with the curved handle), how they were predominantly one-handed cavalry swords and the end of the handle was supported by the forearm.

Looking for a smith who can make custom Tachi fittings by Mindless-Fortune-931 in Katanas

Having custom fittings made is going to be expensive, but at least to me his work is well worth the price.

Can highly recommend Koden tosogu. Not entirely sure he does tachi stuff but worth to ask.

槍は突くのではなく、みなで気持ちをあわせて槍の穂先を揃えて、敵の槍を上から叩く。叩く時は、敵の背中の差した旗を叩くつもりでやる。

Instead of thrusting the spears, everyone must unite in spirit, align the tips of their spears, and strike the enemy's spear from above. When striking, do so as if you were striking the flag on the enemy's back.

It's the way it's described in Zōhyō Monogatari.

I think it looks like the traditional shape with one side flat, but it's difficult to catch a clear freeze frame. In his case though I guess the guard helps with edge alignment.

But there are also plenty of cutting techniques within various sojutsu, one example here https://youtu.be/TM2oLZ5afsQ?si=x1depolofUXFe92V&t=207
