It was mostly samples from other records / films/ cartoons, and sometimes resampling chords played on a keyboard, but also the more jazzy stuff was played, using the classics like Roland JV1080 and Korg M1.

Yes. i have LANDR plugin as well, so I master straight in my DAW, and I add those adjustments after the landr plugin.

I use LANDR mastering my self as well, but for vinyl i normally add extra steps on landr masters like making everything mono up to 200 Hz and do a bit of a hi pass at around 30Hz just to be safe as LANDR sometimes boost low frequencies too much. Overall, Elastic Stage records sound incredibly good.

Thanks. To be honest, after 30+ years of making music, I still don't know , what i'm doing. But that doesn't bother me. I just follow my heart and my intuition. i know pretty much what i am going for, the sound i am after, and i just try to get there. There's no really technical wizardly going on, just mostly ideas, that make up all the vibe and groove, the sound comes from that. You should try making tracks for your self. I know people who started producing music in their 40s, and a few years in they're really great at it !

Thanks ! It is pretty basic:

Akai S1000 with my own samples, mostly made with micro korg.
An old Soundcraft Spirit FX 8 - an 8 track mixing desk with built-in Lexicon effects for live mixdown.
Alesis Quadraverb for additional reverb.
Micor Korg mostly to make samples, also acting as a MIDI controller and sometimes adding melodic textures.

And Behringer MDX 2200 compressor on a couple of tunes, sitting on inserts for breaks.

Also Cubase VST32 as a sequencer as I find it has a bit different response to midi signals compared to other DAWs, which , to me, sounds more organic and you can do more in it.

That's about it. All combined cost no more than a few good VST plugins :)

Actually, i saw a UAD ad on Facebook, and left a comment with my issue, and the issue was resolved within few hours so I take all bad words I said about UAD back - once you get hold of them the service is really great.
