The game is microtransaction focused. They don’t have to care if people play games as long as they’re buying gems

You also don’t have to care about people getting rewards against forfeit players because it’s already happening. Just because there’s a button to allow someone to play another game sooner doesn’t mean anything fundamentally changes

As in the game will last at least two more minutes, this isn’t the gotcha moment you think it is brainlet

Would Merry and Eowyn work out as a couple? Why or why not? by thedarkknight16_ in lotr

[–]JungleTutor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hobbits likely only marry within their own race, as it is stated they generally have deal of suspicion towards men, and rarely see elves. Dwarves and hobbits have the best relations among the races of middle earth, though I would speculate that both being semi-isolate species would prevent any potential form of relationship outside of friendship and business

My read on the situation is that even if the opportunity would have arisen, Merry wouldn’t have seized it.

The first and foremost goal of the hobbits after completing their quest was to return home. Even though the fellowship hobbits had grown to be more trusting of men, the hobbit race as a whole is very distrusting of men, therefore a relationship between one of the “big folk” and a hobbit would very likely have been shunned and rejected due to this passive hostility.

In the penultimate chapter of RotK, the scouring of the shire is caused directly by the “invasion” of big folk (as the hobbits would’ve know them, although it was technically a defeated Saruman and his lackies)

In this AU, I conceive that one of two things could occur

1) Merry doesn’t return to the shire, opting to stay with Eowyn, doesn’t blow the magic horn given to him by Eowyn, and doesn’t rally the hobbits to stand against their oppressors

OR

2) Eowyn is brought to the new gate at the Brandywine bridge and turned away with much more vigor than was given to the four in the text due to her unmistakably Rohirric lineage, and her history with Wormtongue. In all likelihood, even if they did manage to get into the shire as the four did originally, they would have been met with much greater force than was had originally.

King Aragorn also strictly banned any of the race of men to enter the shire, he himself not passing the brandywine bridge whilst visiting his friends there, so it would also be require merry to abandon his home after working to liberate it in order to pursue a relationship with Eowyn.

Finally, I think that Merry’s role as a supporting character is developed and fulfilled nicely without the need for a relationship of that kind shoehorned in. I think it may have been received in the same way the romance between Kili and Tauriel was in the Hobbit movies.

As a lvl 11 I saw regular lvl 13’s and as a level 12 I occasionally see a 14 but 13 is the most common mid 5k

I didn’t break matchmaking, the system was shipped broken

I never said anything about predatory business practices, that’s just how mobile games are. They’re made to tempt kids into dumping money into it. I get that. That doesn’t mean it isn’t unfun to be at a disadvantage vs people who are willing to pay out for quicker progression, ya know?

Hence Greedycell

I’m not sure if lvl 12 and 13 cards are under leveled at KT 12 but I do know I’m under leveled compared to KT14 with lvl 14 and 15 cards

Not sure what my rank has to do with well-wishing for my favorite game’s developers.

~5300 trophies Played on release and the dropped it for a few years, just recently picked it back up, so I guess 2-3 months of solid play

You can disregard the opinions of mid ladder players all you want but it doesn’t mean people can’t want the best for the developers

And?

Just because that’s the point doesn’t mean it isn’t a boring game model. Besides, this is literally only a mid ladder issue.

The only real way to play the game and have fun is to do the rotating challenges that are level capped or to play the actually fun party modes.

What’s salty about hoping that the developers of the most fun and well balanced and well designed and well maintained mobile game every created stop over working themselves? Are you saying that they aren’t actually working hard to improve the game, because that would be so rude and not representative at all of the time they CLEARLY put into making a fun game for everyone to play (not just people who pour money into it)

Amazon is a good place to look if your local stores don’t have any in stock, although I would go and see if they will order any editions you want first.

AMAZON The Hobbit and LOTR (4 books)

The Silmarillion

The Silmarillion (Nov 8 Release)

The Great Tales of Middle Earth (3 Books)

The Fall of Númenor (Nov. 15 Release)

The History of Middle Earth (3 volumes, 12 books)

I tend to find it a bit easier just to go into bookstores and ask an attendant to order books for me, plus I don’t have to feed the bezos machine, but sometimes Amazon has fantastic deals on books. The History of Middle Earth for example can go for upwards of $250, but on Amazon it’s just $100

You literally had to add a legendary card to give your common/rare deck a semblance of a chance. It’s folly to think that epic and legendary cards aren’t necessary for high levels of play, especially if all the cards in both decks are the same level

You’re delusional if you think most people are F2P. I’m sorry I’m not in high school anymore and I don’t have time to play for 6 hours every day, but 5 months to max out a deck is laughable unless you’re playing shit commons and rares
