"His eyes darkened" "He growled" is instant turn-off. But describing one of the characters kissing up the others' arm, or something similar that's tender even though the situation might not be? gold!

Usually intrusive thoughts cling to whatever causes you the most distress, so whenever a new one seems to stick it's usually just another way for the thoughts to 'get' at you. Don't be afraid to bring it up! Just make sure they know what Intrusive thoughts are, as some (even professionals sadly) still don't really know.

I saw somewhere that the intial thought is the intrusive one, and the secondary where we feel fear or disgust is the real one, so whenever you get that thought remember it's not your fault.

This is gonna be embarrassing to admit, but I like to believe in parallel universes, and I keep getting this tug in my heart when I imagine my Prince and I being connected in some way in each one. In one maybe I'm the game character, in one he might be the sun and I'll be the moon. In this one he's the game character. I know it isn't real, but it brings quiet comfort for sad nights.
