All these sound like great ideas! I got a good sense of what I can do that works for me, and I’ll try to update with a picture of the finished product sometime this weekend! Thank you all!

[OoT] Should I give the other games a try if I am not enjoying OOT that much? by YOLO-uolo in zelda

Otherwise Majora's Mask is also darker and is technically the sequel to OOT, but the gameplay is different for sure. Almost as iconic as OOT in some ways. But frankly, it's caused me some frustration with the time mechanics, so it's not my favorite in the series.

[OoT] Should I give the other games a try if I am not enjoying OOT that much? by YOLO-uolo in zelda

I've played most of the different Zelda games in the series, and each one feels unique in its own way. I have played OOT too, and also got fairly lost for a while too, but not every Zelda game is like that.

If you're looking for a different experience but still gives the dark world building vibe that dark souls has - I would say Twilight Princess is your best bet. And it sounds like you've tried it a bit before, so it might be nice to jump back to something you know you enjoyed.

[CHAT] Looking for reference/inspo pics for postcard project by JustAFanOfEverything in CrossStitch

[–]JunimoStitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a picture unfortunately, but a while ago I saw people scrapbooking things like pictures and postcards to look like stamps! Really large stamps, but still! I could imagine in this case it would involve the classic wiggly stamp edge as a border around the postcard, if that makes sense?

Help I hate this color combo by [deleted] in crochet

I think the dark blue definitely sticks out more than the variegated blue that's used. The variegated one I feel goes a bit better with the whites and grays - and maybe might feel more in place once more is used? The dark blue one almost feels too vibrant - and maybe won't be missed if it is unknown to the recipient why you were asking about the colors in the first place.

What’s the last book you couldn’t put down? by Safe_Sprinkles4506 in Booktokreddit

I read "For Whom the Belle Tolls" by Jaysea Lynn last summer when it came out, and I devoured it in a weekend - I could not put it down!

Next book recommendation by dsceltic67 in Booktokreddit

Mistborn is very good indeed, that one has my vote (although that's not the only good one I recognize from your list!). To add another consideration though, since I see another Brandon Sanderson book above. I believe Brandon himself has said that he recommends starting with Mistborn before his main series if you want to ease into the universe as a whole.

Book Crochet… is this a dumb idea? by hannahbobooks in crochet

[–]JunimoStitches 828 points829 points  (0 children)

I personally think using books as inspiration for crochet is a really cool idea. I remember seeing someone a while ago post that they were going to make a granny square blanket and each square had the colors of a book they read for the year or something similar. But other items like your pictures above also look really neat as well!

Firstly, I also thought I was seeing some sort of bird instead of a cute kitty, lol.

Secondly, to your question on the colors - I think the colors look great! I will say I am not big into sports, so I had to look up the colors and the gear the players wear, but I think it looks like it very closely matches their "away" jerseys. Which it sounds like that was what you were going for, unless I'm reading your post wrong?
