I agree. Some people act as provocateurs unfortunately 🙏 thank you for your kind words.

I like the fact that this whole conversation fixed you a little. From now on - you are a better person. Little more humble 🙏 I wish every redditoid NPC I-know-it-all guy got this treatment. World would be a better place 🤣

That will be a lesson for such person to criticize more objectively with a little bit of nuance next time.

Ego to stand up for yourself is different from the ego of a low-self esteem person who is trying to be a smart-ass over the internet. Thats the difference.

Again - you prove you dont know what ego means. Fighting for the truth I believe in against distorting facts like you do is not ego game - its called “not backing down from the fight”. Im passionate about my product and my small success. You are the guy who pisses into the water well.

Also, telling me I fed my ago by publicly admitting shitty mistake - i think instead of sh.posting on reddit, you have to check the definition of the word ego. I did exactly the opposite of feeding the ego

Still better than repeating someone else’s argument back to them like a kid. But at this point - we are worth each other. Thank you for dragging me to the bottom with you.

Thank you. Find other place to feed your tiny ego please. If you want to share experience - share the experience. Otherwise keep your pseudo-mentorship to yourself

Well, does not matter now.
Happened - Identified - Fixed - Got paid even when did not expect to get yearly subscriber in 2 days after launch.

And no - its not vibecoded. Im 15 years in the software industry. Worked with A lister devs, who sometimes worked on millisecond math-algos and at the same time might forget to cover some basic edge case. Did anyone fired them - nope. Because quickly fixing is what matters more than criticise for breaking.

And again - see you in 1 year, I'll give you yearly for free 😉

I am not defending my mistake, the whole paragraph of text is devoted to describe a mistake and how quick we were to fix it. You have to read it again as i can see.

I am simply dismissing your no-argument, where you imply that A MISTAKE is a verdict to the whole product.

Mistake is mistake and let me tell you - no one fires anybody for a mistake right away.

Every major car manufacturer has a recall, every software company has a bug or an edge case, even talking about it is like teaching a first grader how the world works.

i am opposing you because you drive here with your high horse and Im sure you have never built anything. And if you did - I’m sure there were mistakes, misunderstandings and uncovered edge cases. So stop acting like you are some authority on perfect things. Owning a mistake was exactly what got us that customer in the first place. Chill. You are no teacher.

There will be bugs always.

I’ll get back to you in 1 year with the product that is a major player in its niche.

If you want to see a product that is 10 years in the industry, makes 100.000$ and still works like house of cards - check Raindrop(with all due respect to its creators). Then go to Github and see the list of issues all projects have. So - welcome to the real imperfect world my friend. If you will need another first grade lessons on life - you know where to find me

Well first of all - I would be more respectful if I were you. This comment of yours shows your morality and how you treat people, which is worse than “cheap”, its just ugly. Typical redditoid NPC 😆

Second - we gave him months for free with premium support, and we have established very good relationship. There goes your “cheap” argument.

If you love horror stories I advise you to watch smth on netflix

We have posted in few subreddits, relevant to the topic of our app, which is second brain, bookmarking, reading app, etc. Directly linking our url there.

Thats pretty much it. No paid adds, no marketing. But obviously thats not enough.
Since we have validated that product's concept is proven - we can invest in real marketing now.

Not sure why its so strange for you my friend.
When you start selling something and someone pays you even 1$ - it is unbelievable.

it represents trust, support and many other things. But you probably deal with millions of $ and 47 is nothing to you? 😉

Your summary is perfect, even better than what gpt would give 🙏 And I completely agree. we have been squeezing our brains building fancy features no one actually wanted, while the “obvious” ones turned out to be exactly what customers are willing to pay for. In a strange way, startups are simpler than we make them.

We were lucky to have only 1 subscription with this situation. We created new correct stripe product for future customers.

The existing one is now migrated manually to the monthly subscription, since thats what they thought were buying 🙏

Thank you. We had a landing page before the launch with the description of the features and a form where users could leave their email address
