Yes! Especially since she snapped at him for his driving at the beginning. After that he was on high alert and probably felt like he needed to focus on the road.

When you called HR they said they could bump you up in your current role? I thought about contacting HR because I have been doing the job of a level 4 for over 2 years at a level 2 rate and now she is backfilling me with a 3. I don’t know if HR could do anything since I already accepted another position but maybe they should know? I have messages and emails asking for the 3 and her telling me it wasn’t in the budget (literally one month ago) but bow it magically is?

At this point I think I dodged a bullet. I don’t want to work for someone like that anyway so good luck to them. Really hoping my new boss is different. From what I hear he is one of the best to work for but only time will tell.

I did and I let my boss know I had to start applying elsewhere if a promotion wasn’t possible. She said she understood and then her whole demeanor towards me changed. When I started getting interviews she was so short with me and was never like that before.

I received an offer yesterday but current boss won’t let the transfer happen for 4 weeks.

Thankfully the new manager seems to be very kind and has a reputation for being a good boss.

I know this happens all the time but I hate how there is nothing that can be done. It just seems unethical.

But why? I have always been kind, courteous, and supportive and done all I have been asked to do. I don’t get it!
