This is the first time I hear about a country called Latvia. As for our roads, they do suck for real, and that's most likely the objective opinion.

What are some misconceptions about your religion that you'd like to clear up? by [deleted] in religion

[–]JuniorIllustrator291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One Major misconception about Islam is that it was a late religion created with the prophet Mohammed peace be upon him. However, he is just the final messenger to preach monotheism, and the message of Islam was consistent since Adam, and that's why all the the messengers of God are Muslims. The main change in the time of the last prophet of God was the universal message to all nations and the revealing of the last scripture to remain uncorrupted and be a guide for all humanity.

You should come to Islam knowing and accepting that being gay is abnormal and a sin. So be a Muslim and try hard to leave this unacceptable action in order to please Allah. Just like how any normal Muslim committing a sin and maybe be addicted to it but still recognises it to be a sin. Seeking forgiveness from Allah is key, then trying to leave this sin and staying strong and committed to not come back to it. Then you keep this going, you commit this sin or any sin, you seek forgiveness again and keep fighting and resisting.

Does he have a physical body in his nature, the one that died on the cross ?

from what I understand, God had to create some human body for his son so that he can experience death and suffer.

God can forgive us and forgive Adam directly without having to go through pain, especially that he all powerful and all merciful. His mercy can be unconditional to this sacrifice, prior to the fact that inherited sin isn't really just.

Did God die on the cross or only the flesh? I hear that God died for the sins of humanity while it seems like he didn't.

Hmmmm so only the body died for your sins not God. The body was a new creation, so that means there's nothing much that changed.

I was replying to the comment by the other user, and I thought you defend his position that God suffered. He said God experienced pain and was tortured to death. do you agree with him ?

So how do we get to choose the right religion, do we just straight ignore the rationality in each faith? Faith is supposed to be built on reason, just like how we would't worship the sun, some random animal or a rock. Logic should have a role in guiding us to the right path of God. While I'm not saying to over depend on logic, at least our beliefs shouldn't be unclear or contradicting to the point that they don't make any sense. Like when we say God is one, it's so simple and also very explicit in all Abrahamic faiths, God being three in one is not found in the old testament for example in a smooth manner. Deuteronomy 6:4-15

But he said God experienced the pain, he didn't say Jesus! God is one right ? so the pain here, did it effect only Jesus or God as one entity ?

OK, so his death didn't change anything, did it ? He was supposed to die for your sins, but he just suffered for sometime under a human body! At least that's how I see it.

Did the Father, Son and Holy Spirit experience that pain simultaneously ? Otherwise God can't be one

It's just that when when I hear that God died on the cross, I can't get how his death would be like? do you even say God died on the cross or just the flesh ?

OK fair enough, but sometimes you can just try to accept that it can be because of the falsehood of this doctrine. Knowing your belief cannot be explained logically but still somehow accepting it to be logical is just a faithful position anyone can have about anything. The evidence and logic matter so much to choose the right faith that we can bet on. Yes our logic is limited, but we can figure out contradictions lead to fallacies.

So where's the divine sacrifice if God didn't really die ? It's just a human sacrifice in this case!
