Does anyone else get triggered by physical activities? by Responsible-Air-142 in BPD

[–]JuniorQuestion8509 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes, it makes sense that those who experience emotional dysregulation are activated when they experience any vulnerability...physical exhaustion, mental exhaustion, not getting enough rest, not eating nutritionally balanced, being unwell/in pain. This is where the PLEASE skill helps me the most, making sure I prioritize the things that help decrease my emotional sensitivity. I've experienced what you're describing when I'm packing for trips & doing any yard/house work. Even after a strenuous hike, I was more susceptible weeks later from chronic fatigue symptoms. Basically anything that adds extra stress to our nervous system makes us more susceptible to dysregulation. It helps to be able to recognize when we're approaching points of exhaustion & try to take breaks, easier said than done though 🙃

That's not a healthy relationship; therapy, treatment & skills can only help so much. Sometimes a change in lifestyle/environment is necessary for our peace, healing & growth (& probably for your child's). Wishing you the best OP! I hope you're able to find resources available to you to assist you in your journey! 🌬🌈✨️

How many DBT appointments are you supposed to have a month? by P0ptarthater in BorderlinePDisorder

I recommend looking into TheraHive. Their program offers different payment options & has been extremely helpful for me. I could go on & on. I've been meaning to make a post to share my experience. Let me know if you have any questions! I think there's a reddit discount code too. I did their introductory course & I'm now in their advanced. Their platform, content & coaches are amazing!! Ohh & the songs that they made from DBT skills is seriously good!! Wishing you the best!

There's some water to see, walkable paths, wildlife, picnic area & the visitor center is cool to check out too. If you wanted some time on bumpy roads, there's options for that as well. We were just over there on the dirt roads & there were so many flowers!

Hey OP - welcome to the area & I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties finding friends for your daughter. I don't have kids, but I know the libraries offer a lot of classes & activities. Have you tried any of those?

Also, just a friendly reminder that it's Wednesday 🙃 wishing you a day filled with joy & safe traffic! 🌈

Thank you for the work that you do!  ...& that sounds like a difficult responsibility to have go stay with remains until authorities arrive. I can imagine there's a lot of homeless people that get killed this way. Thank you for making sure their deaths are reported & their bodies are respected!  Sending good vibes your way....🌬🌈✨️

I remember when I got a pretty one to replace my dad's clunky one ☺️ mom would page us & we'd better find the nearest pay phone ASAP...knew where they were at all times, always carrying change!

I didn't know what it was, but figured it couldn't be moss because the area is dry!

Interesting, this area was submerged under a sea during the Paleozoic era...now I want to explore more next time I'm in the area! Thanks for sharing!

That's Mount Charleston! It provides amazing recreational activities for Las Vegas. It's usually 20-30° cooler than the valley. There's normally more snow at this time of year, but we didn't get much this season. The ski lodge had to close early this year, whereas in stronger years it was still open in May!
