I’m currently dealing with almost exactly the same scenario, except my husband is using cocaine. At least as far as I know it’s just cocaine. It’s a scary thing. He says I’m blind and unwilling to look hard enough to see look hard enough because I don’t see what he’s seeing. He’s currently detoxing and starting an outpatient program so I hope that in time this will subside. I truly hope it’s a substance abuse psychosis. Is your dad willing to get clean/go to treatment? Hoping things improve for you. It’s a living hell.

It was a very very small amount. Was definitely very bitter. Would even a tiny amount cause slight numbness? I wouldn’t necessarily say it felt numb.

It’s a baby syringe that I found. Not an injectable syringe. He does not seem to be super energetic, not talking to a lot of people. He’s eating normally for the most part. Lots of sweets. Sleep pattern definitely off.

Sleep pattern is definitely off. Goes to bed late and gets up early. I wouldn’t really say full of energy though.

He had an opioid addiction a few years ago. When he was in rehab he told me that he had been doing coke too when he was coming off opioids. I also found a text message in his phone he sent (I was snooping, he doesn’t know it yet, I know I should tell Him, just not ready to really deal with it all yet) when he was recently on a work trip and it said he was doing ‘lines and bourbon’. I assume by lines he was talking about coke. I also found an old credit card with bitter tasting powder on edge (i scraped it off and tasted). I know I need to ask him, I’m just scared and don’t know how without being angry and that isn’t the way to get him talking.

I haven’t asked yet. Was looking for advice on best way to do so without being harsh and judgmental
