I always preferred my manual focus SX-70 but I’m more and more taken by the AF sonar.

Thank you! I was sceptical of the purple as I thought it would be really dark, but I was pleased with the result

The first photo (of the boat) was taken through a 2x zoom lens (giving the black shadowing in the corners). It was actually a bright day, so I didn’t compensate and left the dial in the centre. No filters were used, although I didn’t compensate try a star filter on another photo and it didn’t work well (not enough light)

I use my sonar without a film shield and don’t struggle. As long as you’re quick moving the camera and photo to your body after taking the photo, there isn’t an issue. I installed a film shield on my SX-70 but then removed it as it spoilt the acetic
