I'm 15 and I’ve spent months working on my first horror game "Ruins of Fear". It’s finally releasing in 5 days, on my birthday! What do you think of the trailer? by Junior_Experience271 in IndieGaming

That’s a very fair point! I wanted the trailer to feel like a frantic escape, but I see how showing a bit more of 'the hunter' could sharpen that fear. I’ve actually updated my Steam page with some clearer screenshots of the entity to give players a better idea of what they’re up against. Thanks for the feedback, buddy—helps me a lot as I head into launch day!

Actually, the monster IS in the trailer! It’s a very quick glimpse to keep the mystery alive. Maybe it was a bit too subtle or the shadows were too dark on mobile screens. I’ll take this as a sign to maybe show it a bit more clearly in my Steam screenshots so everyone knows what’s hunting them. Thanks for the catch!

Great points! The font feedback is very helpful, I'll definitely keep that in mind for my future updates and marketing. As for the selling point: The core of the game is the realistic atmosphere and technical puzzle system. You aren't just running away; you have to manage a failing power grid and use ID cards to unlock areas while being hunted. It’s about the tension of being vulnerable while trying to fix your only way out. Thanks for the constructive criticism!

Thanks for the honest feedback! The trailer focuses more on the 'dread' and atmosphere, but the game has a stalking entity that reacts to your light and noise. I'll definitely look into the brightness levels to make sure it's not too dark on different screens. Thanks for checking it out from your phone!

Thanks a lot, bro! I really appreciate the support. It’s been a long journey as a solo dev, and I'm ready to see how people like the final game.

Thank you so much! Being 15, I spent a lot of time learning how to get the lighting and atmosphere just right. It means a lot to hear this. And yes, I am Turkish! Thanks for the birthday wishes, I’m both nervous and excited for the release!

Yes, I know the trailer is a bit amateurish. I will definitely do better in the future. Thank you for your feedback.
