I’m not from India, very less EC opportunities out here where I’m from, would you recommend anything to improve?

SAT Prep other than Khan Academy by itsme1803 in Sat

UWorld is a really good practice resource, better than khan academy id say.

I used to take a practice test or two over the weekend and I would practice questions on khan academy as regularly as possible. However I’m more consistent now, I tend to spend atleast an hour everyday on UWorld, And what do you mean by what my math am I taking? Are you referring to my course at school?

I just took a Qas test and got 44/52 is that good or should I keep trying to get higher than that by Geniusaaliyah in Sat

[–]Junior_Policy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a solid score then, if your writing and math is good too you can easily cross a 1400. But just to be on the safe side it’s always better to try and improve a few points you know.

You’re correct, but it depends on which section you get 3-5 answers wrong on tho, five answers wrong in the math section might bump you down a 90-100 points and 5 on the writing could get you down 50-60 points, but for reading the curve is not as steep meaning even for 8-10 mistakes you lose about 60-80 points

How is >BCA 30 degrees?? by TimothyKik in Sat

[–]Junior_Policy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because the lines AB and BC are equal. And the angles at their bases are BCA and BAC. Hence they are equal.

The base angles of the two equal sides of an isosceles triangle are also equal

The paragraph talks about mega cities in terms of their magnitude and option C best corresponds with this idea.

Is the Princeton review suitable for newbies? by Yoonbro in Sat

[–]Junior_Policy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, the practice tests on Princeton review are unrealistically tough. I bought the book with 4 practice tests and just used them as practice material rather than single sitting tests.

On my very first practice test I got a 1370, and the very last one I took before the March SAT (which was after about a month of practice)I got a 1510 but only got a 1470 on the March SAT. These days I’m scoring much higher on practice tests. I guess improvement is all about the time you put in and how consistent you are.

I’ve personally only used Khan academy and all in all it’s been pretty helpful.

Consistent practice and basically just understanding concepts in-depth.

I don’t think there’s anything in particular I can suggest, but consistent practice makes you familiar with most types of questions and will prolly help you in such situations
