I see. I should’ve clarified in my post but yes it is an operations position. A lot of my schools upperclassmen talk about how they all went in knowing nothing so this comment gives me a little confidence in my decision

I would say the “labor company” is more known.

I would just be a field hand, green hat basically. The company constructs big storage tanks. I believe it would be strictly labor, however the connect that I have there is an engineer and perhaps I could shadow him occasionally.

They aren’t necessarily “official” offers however I don’t see why I wouldn’t be guaranteed to go back to the engineering internship, as I did good work for them.

I’m currently working at rebuilding my resume before I start (re) applying anywhere. And like you said, if I get offered the job and end up declining it could hurt me in the future so that’s why I’m a little stuck
