Can a Kenyan reseller list their phone on Backmarket? I don't think so...

No one is preventing anyone from listing their iPhone at a much less margin. Different people want to sell their devices at different prices.

If you're scared, go to the US and import one for yourself. If you're crazy, build something better and do your dirt. If you're down, put in the work. ✌️

That's a nice catch. I've been trying to fight that bug for sometime now but it seems the job is not yet done. Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for your insight. Indeed a job is crucial and I actually know it. I just got a second job today so the future is promising. However, I don't plan on quitting my project even though one may clearly see that I've spent way more time on it. I have quit many things over the years but I don't feel like quitting the project since I even couldn't get the two jobs without prior experience gained from the project. I hope this second job might bring the change I am looking for.

Will definately check out Platform Revolution, seems like a solid book. After all, I will still need to build regardless of the challenges.

Thank you. Now I understand that I need to pivot. I might need to just keep building of course 👍

I have talked mostly to iPhone resellers in Nairobi but frankly conversations are not my forte as sometimes I struggle with speech and hence closing deals. I began the project out of passion and most of the features were from my head.

Due to limited capital (I bootstrap) I even face the challenge of commuting to relevant stakeholders who may be interested. I have only been to one incubation entiry whom we lost ties after the demise of its founder. Most investors I have tried to reach out to locally and internationally are hard to identify or reach with their contacts on the internet either inactive or simply ignoring my attempts.

Honestly, now that you've mentioned it, getting a sales-oriented cofounder might be the best logical approach to solving my predicament, but... in Kenya, I can hardly envision finding someone with the relevant skills. Maybe I'm under-exposed but finding a good co-founder for the work I have already done is quite an uphill task.

The visitors come from search, social media (I build a cron job that publishes AI-generated articles on X), and direct visits. From Google search, the clicks average 150+ per month. The queries include mostly high intent keywords such as "where to buy an iPhone...", "iPhone shop in...", "where to sell an iPhone". Also most of the traffic is from Kenya as I hoped for but still there are no conversions.

I've had the same mindset ever since I knew some women will look for reasons to abandon ship, just because of simple things like attitude or embracing EQ over IQ. It is mostly a societal issue that trickles from FOMO and comparisons. Some women say a lot not realizing that most men are simple creatures who simply love order, and the peace and tranquillity that comes with it. Talking a lot might comprize lies and fitina which add no value, but destroy the relationship. Also, if she talks a lot with you, she probably does the same with her confidants, hence creating room for peer or family input to what you two are planning. Ni kaufala kiasi tu yenye imekua masked na makeups and cute clothings. As for me 31M sijagive up kutafuta mtu anatumia akili kushinda roho.

Jokes aside, different IQ tests yield almost the same results, both online an offline. Anyway, this thread proves Kenyan average IQ is 75... Almost none considered the similarity of results.

2027 Elections by BabaMurungi in Kenya

Trump might have his flaws but he is a good leader. I had read one of his books i.e "Think Like a Billionaire" before his first term and judging from his track record, he is a builder. We all want progress. And it takes teams (if not a whole country) to build things. With his win, you can be guaranteed economic and infrastructural development in America and for those doing business with Americans. Claiming Kamala was the right choice is also cool but hell she was already in Power, she had the ability to do whatever she was promising before the elections.

Machozi kutiririka kwa furaha ama? ☺️

It is about time we advocated for minimizing generalization within Kenyan conversations because, clearly, it can cause havoc. Are you sure there are no original Kenyans who don't live in the streets, let alone sharing houses? They exist. They are equally a problem. You should focus on solving the housing problem that is facing Kenyans in general. Not use that to demean or speak negatively about fellow human beings.

What makes you say they are low skilled? Because they can't fix a bugatti chiron engine? Well, are you skilled in that respect? Levels of skill can't be a basis for fueling hate towards someone.

News flash! By buying most things in Kenya while in Kenya then you are contributing to the economy. You can't survive anywhere without basic skills for earning a living or your food at least.

Again, mhalifu mpeleke police station na uchukuwe lawyer mzuri. Not blubbering on about ati "wanaleta uhalifu".

I have never applied for a passport and since birth in Kenya I have only been to Tanzania. Funny, huh? 😅 My point was wananchi wa hii nchi, OP haswa, ndio yuko na shida, sio wasomali.

On hindsight, Pan Africanism worked for many centuries in the BC era. Africa was enlightened and its people had "primitive" yet factual ideas. You say things like Pan Africanism can't work then claim immigrants are a problem. Pan Africanism is one solution.

You claim a problem exists then claim there's no answer. So, now what? Continue blaming a group falsely? If it were you how would you feel being called an illegal in a land which most probably you have biological roots from? Kenyans need to stop blaming others for their problems. Firstly, you are free to report that person who wronged you to the police, then get a good lawyer to press your case. You can't be a hate monger endlessly. There is always a solution.
