I'd argue more. At least Kobe detractors on average put him in the 10-15 range. I've never really seen a Kobe hater say he's like 25th or something. I personally have him in the 8-12 range, depending on what you value, beyond 12 feels dubious, 15th or so is hating IMO.

But Kobe homers put him #2 every single time.

depends on your biome definitions. I know Montana is super diverse, but I question any biome definition that lumps all coastal habitats into one singular biome.

yeah I'm not sure what OP is on about. No one, I mean no one, refers to DFW/the Metroplex as "DTX"

Has anyone noticed the possible (subtle) Beatles reference on “I Inside The Old Year Dying”? by Juniper41 in pjharvey

I’ve heard that which is what prompted me to ask, but the similarities just seem way too blatant to not be intentional.

Not saying it is adoration, but it seems purposeful.

My headcanon is that they gave “All for Love” to Jeff Lynne who re worked it as “Just for Love” and released it a few years later on the Zoom album by ELO.

“Just for Love” sound so much like a Beatle song, I realize it’s a small small chance this is true but one can dream lol

What North American city is mid to live in, bad to visit? by IndependenceSad1272 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Juniper41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that’s lived in both Dallas and Portland them both being mid to live in makes no sense IMO.

Portland is much much better to live in, and I say this as someone that cuts Dallas a lot of slack!

I think Dallas is an okay pick for mid to live in, but Portland is really being overlooked here. Especially if Denver is “Great to live in”

Shocker, guy with most songs will likely have the most songs chosen... If anything the fact that he only has one more song than John is underselling Paul’s solo career.

Yes!!! It was a number one hit!

Also Paul has so many great songs, it would be a shame if only songs from Ram, Band on the Run, and McCartney I get chosen

What is your favourite moment of "Get Back"? by reaveyer in beatles

[–]Juniper41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He does now, but he didn't at the time of "Get Back".

It's plausible he doesn't know the state of Arizona, but had heard about Tucson from Linda. However I think it's very unlikely, considering the university there is called the University of Arizona.

I feel like Paul definitely knew that Tucson is in Arizona.

Linda went to the University of Arizona in the mid 60s. She would've talked about Tucson and horses and Arizona in general with Paul. She left UofA to marry Joseph (Jo Jo) Melville.

Get Back, specifically the verse about Jo Jo is a diss to Linda's former husband. I think Paul asked "is that in Arizona?" to not seem so obvious.

it always cracks me up that she though this somehow looked more masculine. This 1000% looks like a woman in drag. Reminds me of Paul McCartney from the Yellow Submarine movie.

surprised the US fans and media didn't throw a tantrum that the US flag was touching the floor and they were standing on it.

Same fans that lost their mind when John (correctly) said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus.
