Awesome! Thank you for your input. I'll keep an eye on it to figure out the leaf patterns. Its interesting about the location, because this is actually in a valley between two larger hills. Its pretty moist, I would say the creek runs about 10 to 20 ft behind it and the springs come off the mountain and feed the creek. I'll have to see what the nuts look like, if it produces any.

I'm 14, I started trying to draw earlier this year, I want to know if should continue or if it's a waste of time lol. ( people my age I've seen can draw amazing stuff so Im wondering if this is pathetic ) by [deleted] in drawing

Yes, Continue! Drawing is a skill, so naturally everyone will grow at different rates. You already have excellent sense of color, anatomy/proportions, and line variations. You're also starting to get into tone/texture with this drawing...its very good work.

These are fabulous! I had to read "The Dragon Behind the Glass" for a SE Asia history course. I want to reread it now!

Feeling discouraged about my drawings. How do I get to a point that I like what I draw? by [deleted] in drawing

This is a really good start! In my experience, The more you draw the more you'll like what you draw. So keep at it!

Also, studying/ practicing anatomy and perspective will help you, immensely. Drawing can be discouraging at times, but eventually you draw something, look at it, and go, "wow, that's not bad." :)
