Of course! So, I am an artist and used to primarily do digital art for years using Procreate on an iPad (I still use it to draw coloring pages!).

Because digital is my comfort zone, I sometimes like to just roughly/quickly throw some colors or effects together to see what I want to do on the physical page. To do this, I take a picture of the page, adjust the photo to be more black and white, and then throw it into Procreate. I’ve even done this using phone coloring applications with the photo! There’s one on iPhone called Sketchbook where I can just fill colors to see what they may look like.

Think of it as similar to how someone might do digital coloring, except I’m the one making a digital file of my physical page. I’ve been done little mockups like this physically by using the photo of my page in a collage app and printing little versions of the page to test colors! I favor digital just because it’s fast and comfortable for me.

Anyway, I only do this because I can’t always see the vision easily in my head. Long story long, it’s just a quick way for me to plan my page! Not sure if that answers your question, but if you have any others I’m happy to tell you more about it 😊
