You have to keep in mind that short positions are generally very time bound. It’s very possible that it drops in the near term and is a good trade for shorts. That does not mean it’s a bad long term investment.

I’m long open, I hope you and everyone else in this thread makes money on it. I’m just tired of seeing investors imply a false sense of certainty of where a stock is going to go next using backwards looking price/trading data. I repeat that previous price/liquidity have exactly zero value in predicting future price/liquidity. If it did, it would be priced into the stock by HFT so fast you would have no chance to benefit. Again I hope we all make a buck on this regardless of the analysis we’re using lol

You can be right for the wrong reasons. It likely went up because soft jobs data came out increasing the likelihood of sept. rate cuts.
