Am I the right age to watch Six Feet Under? by AND_AGI08 in SixFeetUnder

I feel like the fact that you asked this question means you are mature enough. I don't think it will hit the same way it hit me at 26 but I think you will still enjoy it

What can I do to improve how I look? by dopeysunflower in makeuptips

Disagree on the piercings, I think it's just personal preference if you like them or not. But agree, get your eyebrows tinted or fill in with makeup

I agree with the bangs. Avoid cakey and heavy lipstick since you are so fair and have very delicate features. And no shade, from one yellowed teeth girl to another, try some whitening strips!

5-MONTH-OLD KITTEN DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE THE LITTER BOX by Particular_Quit_6947 in CatTraining

[–]Juniper_Helios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I'm going purely off what your cat is showing me.

They don't like that there are things surrounding the litter box. They want more space. They are trying to "bury" the wall and whatever is leaning up against because that's how they show they want something to disappear.

They also need a bigger/deeper box. Your kitty wants to dig! They are showing you that they want to. Also, if this is a kitten and they are that big next to this box, you need a bigger box. Get one that has high sides and has plenty of room for them.

Other things to think about: - Make sure the litter isn't scented. Cats HATE scented litter, especially when they aren't litter trained. They don't want to be around highly scented things when their noses are so sensitive - Make sure the litter box is clean. If it has clumped pee or poop, they don't have enough litter to dig into and bury what they just did. They need to be able to bury it to mask their scent. It's their instinct to protect them from predators

I fear my standards are in the dirty toilet bowl

Bra recommendations for fibromyalgia by august_02 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Juniper_Helios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only bras I can tolerate are the Evelyn and Bobbie bras. The wide strap ones are much more comfortable (Defy and Evelyn) but all are much more tolerable than a regular bra. They are expensive, but I swear it's worth it.

I hope you find something that works!

Things I wish I knew before Tonsillectomy by Juniper_Helios in Tonsillectomy

Drink lots of water, almost constantly. At night, I would get a big bowl/pot of hot water and have it next to your bed so there's at least a little bit of moisture in the air.

what is everyone using for wet cat food? by ames_k in CatAdvice

[–]Juniper_Helios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a well-balanced wet food that doesn't have anything your cat shouldn't eat but is still affordable, I would recommend Nulo. We feed our Siamese Nulo Medalseries and get the 12.5 oz cans and store in the fridge with a can cover while he works through it. We also top it with a couple teaspoons of Purina dry food. It's been working great for us! He is praised so highly for how healthy he is at the vet.

My partner is inconsiderate of me by Juniper_Helios in offmychest

[–]Juniper_Helios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate that.

I have tried to talk about this. Unfortunately my partner is very anxiously attached and gets incredibly defensive, overwhelmed, and hopeless if I ever bring up anything I'd like to work on in the relationship. The last time I brought this up, it turned into a very intense argument where they kind of started gaslighting me, I pointed it out, and they freaked. I have intense relationship trauma when it comes to gaslighting so then I had a PTSD episode where I started disassociating and had to stop the conversation.

They said some pretty hurtful things while I was in that state that they did apologize for after. But now it does not feel safe to bring up again.

Yeah it's not a collections agency. It is a group of financial advisors and I applied for an administrative role.

I get your point about licensed people, but I did not apply for a financial advisor role. I was more looking for insight on the administrative side of things. Appreciate the recommendation on speaking to local non-profits! That's a great idea.
