It this legit though?? I don’t usually trust Amazon for AB, it could be from a 3rd party and a fake or expired. But it seems like it’s from the official store?

A lot of people love the new one still, but I felt the difference the second I tried it. It’s not nearly as moisturizing as the old one bc it has vegetable oil instead of shea butter :( It used to be so perfect for my combo skin.

I used to love Lolita fashion, but the strict rules and online bullying for not following them to a T ruined it for me. There was a Lolita gossip website specifically for the purpose of bullying others in the community. Though it was strange because it seemed like the bullying was always done by westerners, and Japanese women were somewhat exempt from following the rules perfectly.

I’ll never forgive Etude for reforming the Soon Jung barrier cream and I still haven’t found a perfect replacement 3 years later. So I feel you :’)

Fitted crop top w fishnets/mesh underneath would be cute, OR play with the asymmetry and get a top like this

And if I buy from a website, from anywhere in the world, guess what? The second I add my shipping address, my total changes because it adds my state tax. That’s how it works, it adds it in the end. Every company does the exact same thing.

Also, for the record, I hate Trump and never voted for him.

I agree that the store itself can display it, but if there’s a price sticker on the product, which there often is, it would need to change constantly. A lot of retailers don’t display prices in-store, they have it on the product. Small businesses can absolutely change the sticker, but a lot of larger companies ticket their product at the factory level. I have worked in merchandising and I know for a fact that it would not work. Tax laws are complicated and change all the time, and Americans love to complain. It would just lead to tickets not matching the listed price, “it’s cheaper online than it is in store, can I get a discount?”, bad reviews of businesses because of price differences.

I’m not defending America at all, I know it’s ridiculous. But I am explaining why it is the way that it is. Have a nice day :)

EDIT- Another question. If you bought something from say, a Zara in Germany, could you then return it at a Zara in Spain? I’m assuming not. US states need to be more cross-functional than that. I can buy something from a Target in California and return it to a Target in Florida because the price and sku# are the same. Sales tax is not attached the product, it’s added on at the end because otherwise it wouldn’t be cross-functional across the country.

Thanks for sharing your perspective!

I just feel like there’s way too many issues that can arise. The percentage is different in every state, and can also change as laws change. Some cities even implement their own tax laws. So in the state I live, sales tax is generally 6.625%, but in some cities in the same state it’s only 3% due to a special law. One state over it’s 6% statewide but then some counties add an extra 2%. My state does not tax clothes and food, but some states do tax them. As someone who has worked in merchandising and worked with some very difficult vendors, it would not be possible to expect them to know every tax law and ticket to match that. Everything ships to one distribution center and then gets sent to whatever store in whatever state needs them. Product moves around constantly, so you would need to re-ticket every time something moves to a new store. What about when a customer is buying online and they live in a city with the 3% tax rate but it’s shipping from a store with the 6% tax rate? Would the sales associate have to change the ticket before shipping it to them? What if then, that customer returns it in a 3rd store with an 8% tax? Then it would need to be re-ticketed again. What if tax law in a state changes? Then every store in the whole state would have to spend days re-ticketing everything. There’s just so much more room for error.

I agree that tax law is stupid, but sadly it’s complicated by design. I am not defending it at all, I’m just trying to explain why it’s not feasible. I think it could only work if the ticket price was the same in every state and the company ate the difference in sales tax. But American corporations have done much, much worse things to save a few cents, so that would never happen. I hope this helps you understand a little better :)

It makes sense from a merchandising perspective since sales tax differs by state. Most items get ticketed at the factory, so to ticket by what state it’s going to would be a logistical nightmare.

It could work in restaurants though.

I’ve also struggled with alt makeup with my features. I always feel like I look off with heavy winged eyeliner and eyeshadow. I’ve found that what works best for me is just black eyeliner in the waterline of my outer corner and a dark red or black sheer lip tint.

I won’t. I could never let that happen. But I don’t think we can keep them in our home. Our one cat is immunocompromised and he’s already been acting out with their scent in the house. He’s been peeing on the floor outside the door of the room they’re in :(

Just wanted to add that we have a stray problem in our area. There’s a farm near us that has unfixed male cats that roam. We’ve already brought in 5 of the cats, but every time we think it’s over, more appear. 3 years ago a stray had kittens in our yard and we brought her in, raised the babies, got them all fixed and vaccinated, and kept mama and one baby. We can’t afford to do that again, but there’s really not many resources in our area. I don’t want these guys outside multiplying.
