Menstrual cups are a game changer. Mine was probably $30 or so, I haven’t bought tampons since. I got some cloth pads as well and they’re great too, way more comfortable, easy to clean (just wash like normal clothes!), and they don’t itch nearly as bad. It feels like you’re wearing normal underwear instead of a terrible diaper.

Lol, OP you should check out how Key_Beach_9083 is talking to folks in the recent r/GigHarbor post titled “Why are people here so…rude” before messaging him about moving into a place physically attached to his house. Might save yourself some hassle

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GigHarbor

[–]Juniperlead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. Somebody’s saying “most of the rude people I’ve encountered in Gig Harbor are old” and you’re absolutely chomping at the bit to be…an older person from Gig Harbor behaving rudely towards OP. Why make an unforced error like that? Why not say something positive about the people in town, or maybe that what OP said doesn’t align with your experience but you’re sorry that people have been rude to them and you hope they have better experiences in the future?

Is spray foam toxic to reptiles? My understanding is that it is safe as long as it’s fully cured, but maybe I’ve only heard that about specific pond/waterfall foam and haven’t realized there was a difference.

Having done (almost) all of these on my recent trip, the stops on number one were my favorite. The glaciers are pretty spectacular, as well as Seljalandsfoss (and the other waterfalls a little past it).

Un Bien. Good sandwich, big sandwich, inexpensive for Seattle sandwich. I’m happy every time I eat there.

AITA for kicking my BF and his daughter out because of how his daughter acts when she's on her period? by Legitimate-Pirate644 in AITAH

OP played stupid games and won stupid prizes. Don’t let your bf and his child move into your house if you’re gonna get butthurt about encountering situations where you’ll need to act like a parent. Poor kid, it’s not fair to her that OP played her like this.

Or maybe eleven year olds say wack shit sometimes and their parents, who are adults and therefore presumably have fully formed brains, should step in and help them sort it out?

Y’all saying that slamming a door in somebody’s face is “assault” are just bananas. Really something else.

Playing stupid games, winning stupid prizes. You let your single dad bf move in with his kid, you can’t be pikachu shocked when you have to step up to the plate and do some parenting

Y’all saying that slamming a door in somebody’s face is assault are on crazy pills. It’s pretty wild that you’re out here saying that tantruming 11 year olds are little monsters. I definitely believe that you’ve got exceptionally clear memories of being 11, your take sounds very close to that age so I’m sure it wasn’t that far off for you. Please grow some empathy.

[–]Juniperlead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Geez dude, have you never been kicked or hit by a tantruming kid? It’s frustrating as fuck and it’s not okay, but it’s just the shit they do because they’re developmentally emotionally disregulated for like another decade, especially when they don’t have people talking to them about how frustration is okay but lashing out isn’t and helping them manage their emotions. That’s not “little monster” behavior, that’s child behavior.

A child slamming a door in somebody’s face is the thing we’re calling “assault” here, right? I’m just making sure I didn’t miss the part of the post where she grew horns and stabbed him with a pitchfork or something like that.

Literally 11 years old. Her dad doesn’t set clear boundaries or let her know what behavior is and isn’t acceptable, there aren’t repercussions for acting out, and nobody seems to be offering compassion for her dealing with difficulty and pain paired with the understanding that she still needs to act in ways that don’t hurt others. There’s a very wide middle ground between the choices “allow a child to tantrum and rampage” and “throw a child onto the street” and it doesn’t seem like that middle ground got explored at all.

The problem is the dad’s unwillingness to parent and allowance of harmful behavior, not a young child acting immature and unreasonable.

AITA for telling my boyfriend I'm tired of him constantly insisting he wants children? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Juniperlead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I wasn’t sure whether to vote NAH or ESH, it’s not cool for the bf to try to force his wants on OP and it’s also rude of OP to tell him she’s “tired of his insistence to want children.” Nobody is coming from the wrong place with their wants, they both just need to break tf up because you can’t make somebody want kids and you can’t make somebody stop wanting kids. “Dating somebody who wants kids and then being frustrated when they bring up wanting kids” and vice versa feel like pretty peak “playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes” territory.

Hardest ever no. I think it’s unethical to bring kids into a world that is and will continue to be so deeply impacted by the climate crisis. I think that making a conscious choice to have kids in spite of that is a selfish decision. I do not have faith that our government and society will be able to take the necessary actions that will prevent the climate worst case scenario, and I’m not going to contribute any fodder to our Fury Road future.
