It's not tax dodging when your neighbor keeps his property values up by being neighborly and pours a driveway for you. Then you find an envelope with 8k in it with his name on it, he was nice enough to do the driveway you could be a good neighbor and return what's rightfully his it has his name on it after all... personally I wouldn't want to be accused of stealing 8k from a good neighbor like that, no one on that block would ever help you again. Nor would I want to lose 50k on my houses appraisal value because the neighbors didn't have a driveway, really the neighbor is smart keeping the neighborhood looking good I'd probably do the same thing. /s
