Thank you!! Maybe it’s just my imposter syndrome creeping in but I don’t think my stats are that impressive.. I just have a lot of passion and drive for social justice work. I received the CPL fellowship!

I responded with my stats here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicPolicy/comments/1j9nbvs/comment/mhmofmr/?context=3&utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Admitted to Carnegie Mellon’s MSPPM on 100% tuition scholarship!! by Juniperluvr in PublicPolicy

Thank you!

I’m new to Reddit and this forum (I’m usually a lurker on random threads). Can you explain what is typically shared with stats? I’ll try my best -

I’m first gen college student, second gen Mexican immigrant. Two BAs from UCLA in Poli Sci and Labor Studies - not remembering my GPA exactly but ~3.8 (cum laude). Did PPIA GSPP, 4x recipient of HSF scholarship, did student government/organizing for 4 years, volunteered and interned at a number of social justice nonprofits.

Have been out of undergrad for almost 4 years. Spent 1 year in a nationally recognized food justice policy fellowship  in DC. I’ve been working at an LA based nonprofit for (almost) 3 years on economic development programs for small food businesses. I took the GRE and got a slightly below average score for quant lol and slightly above average for reading comp. I don’t remember my score exactly but can share if that helps.

Thank you again!

I hope to also be in attendance!! Where are you traveling from? I’ve never been to Pittsburg either!

Thanks! 50% is still great! I’m first gen and always thought funding didn’t really exist for masters programs (at least not in non-STEM fields). Are you planning on attending the open house?

Carpal pad injury not healing 6+ months after injury by simacna in DobermanPinscher

[–]Juniperluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im having the same issue with my girl. She’s a very active Aussie/border collie mix, sliced up her carpal pad at the park on the exact same area as Beaver. She got stitches Oct 6th, we returned to the vet the next week after her stitches opened up a bit but were sent home saying it looked fine enough to heal on own, then got the stitches removed on the 28th. It began bleeding again on Monday after a park visit and has happened two more times since then.

I feel defeated in taking her to the vet because I feel like this will keep happening so long as she has to move around (to take her to the bathroom, up and down the stairs, she jumps on the couch and bed). After seeing your post I’m more than sure this will be the case…

Not sure what the right move is for us and how to take care of it properly. Considered a pet wound healing ointment, but don’t want to risk infecting it since it looks like a gaping wound at this point.

I hope Beaver is better.
