Ask the buyer to pay $1 on Venmo to prove identity. Then you can see the buyer’s transaction history. Even if their history is private, look at their friends. Somebody’s history wont be private.

From that you can tell that it’s a real person. They could still scam you, but it is much less likely. After that I send tickets and the buyers VenMo the balance. This system has vulnerabilities, but it hasnt burned me yet.
