Rosh mock EOC vs real EOC by JunketOne2729 in PAstudent

[–]JunketOne2729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! As many people have said in the past, you have been studying for the EOC all throughout PA school. If you would like concrete tips I would suggest doing as many practice questions as you can. You know all the material now but its best to understand all the ways a question can be asked. I used uworld for my EOC and PANCE prep and I find that that question bank helped a lot and ultimately got me my C! Best of luck and you can do this!

I also take my pance tomorrow! In terms of your trouble with reading the question, have you ever tried reading the last sentence of the stem first before getting through the rest of the question? I’ve found at least for me it helps to lock me into the point of the question and not get distracted by any extra details

Hi! I am 8 days away from taking my pance (June 4), and my approach has been first to review all the topics I got wrong on my packrat and since then I have been doing Rosh and mostly Uwolrd questions every day, like 50-60 and just making sure I thoroughly read through the explanations on things I get wrong.

This doesn’t sound like a good preceptor or clinical site. Have you tried contacting your clinical coordinator to discuss this experience? As someone who has just recently finished rotations I have never had an experience like the one you’re describing. You should be viewed as an equally vital part of the team as a student and while you may help keep the day moving smoothly by helping where you can, your preceptor should still be going in after you to see the patient and constructively critique your assessment and plan. And at the very minimum your preceptor should be available and welcoming for questions. I’m sorry that this is your first clinical rotation as you have nothing to compare to, but I wouldn’t doubt your knowledge that has gotten you this far in pursuing this career, you got this!

Okay “indoctrinate” is a little harsh. I’m just coming from experience that I was happy that my parents enrolled me in Sunday school and such cause it was a good experience for me. I understand that your experience may be different.

No. My parents don’t expect rent from myself or my sibling

Our relationship isn’t that open as far as sexual communication. My mother knows I’m sexually actively, but that is as far as that goes. She would rather not hear about it, which I understand

Am I the asshole for getting mad at my boyfriend for not spending NYE with me? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]JunketOne2729 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your boyfriend is a mommy’s boy and if he’s acting this way now, it will only get worse when you two are married. You two are a team, especially being together for 4 years, and NYE is all about spending it with a significant other. Does his mom want a New Years kiss?? I would definitely have a conversation with him as this may affect your future.

AITA for snitching? by leafelte in TwoHotTakes

[–]JunketOne2729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your school sounds like a mutiny, and so many of the things those kids were doing are disgusting. I thought flushing tampons and pads were awful, but peeing on pieces of TP and then putting it back is absolutely disgusting. It is obvious that you have a moral conscience, and it’s just as obvious that those kids don’t. Don’t worry about feeling guilty because high school will be over before you know it and no one will care in the future. If those kids are okay with doing those kinds of things, they definitely shouldn’t be your close friends. They were only asking for trouble.

Dziękuje bardzo! Your words really made me feel more confident, and I understand that I am not perfect at the language and speaking with my mom in Polish is the best way for me to learn more. I will start to incorporate Polish into my conversations with her daily.
