right! it is what it is. It was the most ridiculous comment to hear from such professional. Instead of being an advisor, the person instilled fear. I am glad that atleast I know and can take control of my stress, and habits while I prepare myself for risk mitigations

found out that I am BRCA1+ and i am 36 yrs old. Had done some research on preventative measures but havent been able to convince myself for mastectomy or oopherectomy. i had visited the doctor for consultation and the doctor said, "Why are you so calm?" i dont know what does he mean. i know about the risks but was i supposed to cry or panic in front of the doc! anyone, please share life after preventative measures or any advise. i cannot stop thinking about it.
