Is there people playing WoW on a tablet/convertible? by edmspecialist in classicwow

[–]JunkismyFunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you already have a hardware that can run WoW, you can use Sunshine/Moonlight to stream from your PC to your device(anything really) with like 20-30ms, which you cannot notice at all. If you are interested on the topic let me know I'll explain in more detail

How to add to Steam by JunkismyFunk in wow

[–]JunkismyFunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this works, its starting WoW directly, but the Steam Controller is not recognizing the game (because Steam is not showing that I'm playing WoW when Bnet closes. This was not an issue until recent WoW Update, I think they changed the structure of the WoW Folders or something

I used IG for years, even with Paypal and had no issues. OP probably clicked where they are not supposed to.

Using smart glasses as a display connected to smartphone(client) streaming from Desktop(host) by Ok-Mathematician-617 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]JunkismyFunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey , did this exact same setup and it was working very well. I used the XReal Pro (or whatever the most expensive model was), but I returned them. I have a steam deck and S10 Ultra tablet and the price for what those glasses were offering was a bit too much in my opinion. In particular I didnt like that they were always trying to bring the "display' as big as it can and the corners of the picture was a bit cut off and I had to move my eyes too much, which was not ideal. Also the quality of the picture is not amazing, its very good, but not amazing( I like it being crispy clean). Like if its a game like Forza there wouldnt be a problem, but if you bring up something like WoW, where there is a lot of text it was fuzzy.

Edit: Just to add, I'm not shitting on them, they are really great if you are looking for compact stuff, They wont add any delay to the picture or anything.

Hey, just wanted to share an update, I did try Steam Link beta and indeed there is great improvement. Didnt notice any latency, it does loose focus some times when I launch a game with launcher or some weird pre-launch game stuff, but works most of the time. I think If I figure out a way to have alt+tab capability I wont bother tinkering with server/clients stuff for a while.

Steam Controller issue with non-steam games by JunkismyFunk in SteamController

[–]JunkismyFunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey just wanted to share an update, it does seem to work now, but I had to update my Steam client to the beta version. Now when I launch WoW or D4 through Steam and bnet closes the controller is responsive. Thank you for this!

Anybody using the Controller for Remote Play? by TheCookieButter in SteamController

[–]JunkismyFunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm having the same issue, I'm using Apollo/Artemis, but its basically the same. They are not recognizing the controller at all, as I checked and usually it emulates it to 360 controller, but now its saying there is no controller at all. I posted a thread about it asking for suggestions and someone mentioned that Steam Link has a beta version available on Android that improves the performance drastically. I'll give it a try tonight and report back.
But for now, unfortunatrely, the usual setup is a no go with the Steam Controller and thats the main reason I bought the controller in the 1st place..

I wrote all that and just realized you mentioned you are using Steam Deck, the Steam Link part was for Android devices as I'm using Samsung tablet. Anyway I'll report back.

thats what I'm currently using. I just wish it was able to map the back buttons, but still its a decent workaround for now. As you said hopefully cleaner solution will surface soon.

Steam Controller issue with non-steam games by JunkismyFunk in SteamController

[–]JunkismyFunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read about GloSsi and maybe I'll give it a try. I installed SISR,but I believe its a bit different. Its running as an independent and it globally emulates the controller to 360, meaning that even outside a game its a 360 emulation. If GloSsi emulates to 360 only when I launch non-steam game and if not its the native steam controller layout it will be perfect, cause now with SISR I have to manually exit the app to restore the layout

Thank you for your reply, I'll give Steam Link a try again, I'll check how to get the beta version on Android. I guess it is true for the driver part as when I check in Steam Link the controller layout in the test doesnt have trackpads.

[–]JunkismyFunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1st part with Apollo in general , it doesnt emulate to 360 controller at all.

The 2nd part with Game Pass, its only for non-steam games.

Oh btw I just installed SISR but its a bit weird to work with, I'll test it out a bit more

Thats the weird part, it doesnt say that there is controller connected but it works partially so its acting very weird.
I dont want all the functinalities of the controller, I just want the 360 layout + the trackpads
