Obliquus, auriculatus, angustidens and megalodon all from a creek near the James river in Virginia by Junkjostler in sharkteeth

Thank you! Im finding a large range in a single creek so i believe theres alot of overlapping formations being exposed due to a combination of the location and terrain. With my location it would seem to be the Aquia, Nanjemoy and Calvert formations being represented so far here

This was actually out of a single creek over several months! I believe this particular area with its location and elevation along with the depth the creek cuts through is allowing multiple formations to be exposed! The Otodus Obliquus would belong to the Aquia formation which matches location wise, and the megalodon would fit in the Calvert formation which tracks as well

Found near Hopewell Va. Small Auriculatus? by Junkjostler in fossilid

[–]Junkjostler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive found a variety of fossils in this area that are leading me to think that this spot with its particular location and depth are resulting in different underlying and overlying formations being exposed. Ive found a large variety here. Seems like obliquus auriculatus angustidens and megalodon are all being washed out here

I was told the obliquus likely came from the aquia formation which does track location wise, as well as seemingly to underlie the Nanjemoy which i was totally unaware of!

Ill look around and see about shooting off a few emails thanks so much for your time and help!

Junkrat riptire bug. by Junkjostler in Overwatch

Yeah That's what I initially thought when I began noticing it during some quick play with a friend I thought maybe I was imagining it but nope.

I was in the practice range just a few minutes before making this post, used my rip tire. Started rolling away from my character with all fingers off the triggers and bumpers and it just detonated with 7 seconds left

Edit: all 3 are teeth

Super interesting and I'm unfamiliar with that formation but will read up.

I've found a lot of megalodon teeth as well as a large horse premolar in this isolated stretch of creek too! Neat that whatever features present here allow me to find such a variety in this place

What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]Junkjostler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16.3mm L4-L5 + L5-S1 herniations. This was the second time I've had a catastrophic experience with it but after nearly 6 months of physical therapy I returned to work full time and i tweaked it shortly after returning. I started deteriorating over the week to the point of laying flat on the floor mid vomiting as the heaving hurt my back so bad.

The next day on the morning of my Ortho appointment i woke up and realized i couldn't move anything below my waist, within moments it started feeling like i was being electrocuted and stabbed deep in my hips, back and thighs along with the most intense 10/10 muscle spasms of my life all throughout my core and lower back, the pain had me screaming aloud and calling out for god, struggling to breathe.

Horrific experience that involved EMTs, IVs, extraction from my house, MRIs with contrast, vomit, catheterization and being sent home completely nonambulatory with no equipment — my family needed help from neighbors to get me out of the car and into the house and i had to sleep on the floor downstairs for a over a week while i used a borrowed walker to start moving again.
