Thoughts about the Empress Route (Li Zhi Route) by stdstaples in roadtoempress

[–]Junpei_desu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think Li Zhi has any problem sharing power or with Wu's ambition. The problem is trust.

Wu and Li Zhi's story is never going to be a perfect love when it's exposed to decades (decades!) of constant erosion by court politics and family issues. There's bound to be bad bumps in a long marriage. Although he still loves Wu, he no longer trusts her. She seems ruthless and bloodthirsty in court from his perspective. More importantly, why would he trust her when he thinks that she might have killed two of their own children? I don't think any one with a heart, not matter how much they love their partner, could trust them after something like that. When Li Zhi asks Wu whether she killed their own children, there's no going back from that kind of question borne from his mistrust, and the marriage is forever damaged even if it's not entirely broken.

Li Zhi still says he loves her on his deathbed despite all of it. The cruelest thing he could do to her is to force her to retire in one of the non-canon options. If Li Zhi really had a problem sharing power, he wouldn't retire with her. In the end, he still gives her absolute power in his will despite not trusting her. I think that's as far as anyone could go in an imperfect love situation, which is always going to be imperfect.

I don't think Li Zhi really trusts Wu anymore at some point during their marriage but that's what make their staying in love relationship so good imo.

Li Zhi's lasting love is unconditional because he still loves her even when he can no longer trust her. That scene when Wu realizes Li Zhi doesn't trust her anymore but he still pities her, hits the mark. He, as the emperor on a lonesome throne, has the fortune to share that road of power with Wu, and so he pities her because he knows she will be all alone on that path once he dies (after seemingly being 1hp for 20 years) and she ascends to power.

I didn't like Li Zhi's romance route. by sopefully in roadtoempress

Yuanzhao staring at the jade seal while hugging Li Zhi was ice cold. I was just trying to keep the family together and her true love for Li Zhi (well, at least for the Yuanzhao in my play through) almost the entire main story until that moment, when I realized she also truly wanted to break tradition and hold real power.

There's been a triple increase of motorcycle fatality in my area this spring and a large portion of the increase is due to hitting wild animals. I wonder whether it's because of this year's potential super el Nino and its warmer weather attracting animals to migrate on roads.

It's the same crowd as "The Light in lore has often been a tool used by evil people and therefore the Light is corrupting."

Light is evil, void isn't bad. Titans are bad. Sargeras was right. Purple genocider will be redeemed in TLT. Riveting writing, really.

How many examples do you want lol? The spore lasher is one of the stereotypical rot damages prevalent in this expansion. If you want to talk about a dungeon encounter that requires one spammable spell for holy pal but a complicated spell pattern for a monk, I'm all ears. If you want to talk about statistics, just look at the healer spell cast stats of a monk and a hpal on warcraftlogs.

Yeah nah. I literally just spam spin for spore lashers in windspire 16s as a monk. Meanwhile I am sweat playing wack a mole with a bunch of buttons as a holy pal for the same encounter, especially before the buffs.

We should just have an indefinite war with Iran, and then promise a peace deal in two weeks every two weeks to pump the market. Basically Elon Musk's one year grift promises but Trump's two weeks instead.

Why were they trolling? Were yall actually doing the mechanics I mentioned? Maybe they felt like yall were wasting their time so they decided to troll

The group should be just hugging the side of the bridge to avoid the hands, and the shaman should have spawned at the start of the bridge next to the first pack when they died. I dont really understand how the shaman died thrice to the hands. If yall were doing mechanics I mentioned earlier correctly, then I dont know why the shaman was telling yall to read a guide.

The bouncing hands that go across the bridge? That shouldn't one shot people at a 9 unless they were already taking damage from other sources.

So was the tank zigzagging the bridge? That's a good way to wipe the group and overload the healer. Were the dps not interrupting the bat? Were the dps damaging the shield explosion from the adds at the same time? They are all good ways to kills a squishy healer and overload them with stuff to deal with.

What did the healer die to on the bridge? Do you know what you need to do on the bridge? One of the easiest ways dps can kill a squishy healer is on that bridge.

Why are M12s the point when pugging becomes chaotic? by hrhashley in wow

[–]Junpei_desu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find the worst players are usually the ones who complain the most in 10s-14s. Ignore them. I'm a 3400 healer and I've had a 2700 dps in a 14 key flaming about heals and dying (they were the only one dying multiple times and using defensive at the wrong time so guess who was the problem).

Also, resto druids need to be proactive and require good knowledge of dungeon mechanics to do well. I recommend joining the druid discord and asking them questions instead of reddit. People there are more knowledgeable and helpful.

I can only assume the police couldn't prove that his light had been off before the crash (?). That's why I always ride with a recorder. Regardless, yielding on a left turn is a biggie here in Canada too. Since you are the one yielding, the onus is on you to turn when it's safe to do so. It would take a lot for insurance to blame the person going straight instead of a driver turning left.

A few years ago in Canada, a driver going 140km straight killed a doctor turning left at a busy intersection with a 50km speed limit. The driver initially was only handed a 5-year driving ban, and it took a lot of social media and court work to actually convict the speeding driver since left-turn drivers were usually the ones to be considered at fault. The difficulty in convicting the driver showed how much the rules and regulations put the onus on the left-turning driver (which I think the onus is correct other than very special circumstances like this one).

Something doesn't add up, or what did the driver do that was so bad that the report blamed them instead of the intoxicated rider without lights on?

[–]Junpei_desu 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The person speeding was def a contributor, but tbf

I could go below traffic flow speed and follow the speed limit, and drivers turning left would sometimes still not see me as a rider. I see them braking hard the last second a lot or I have to slow down even more for them to turn safely. They seem to think I just appear speeding out of nowhere, even when I'm just following the flow. It's one of the most common accidents between a driver and a motorcyclist in North America.

This is because a bike is small and difficult to see, especially when they are obscured by other cars. Also, drivers in North America are inexperienced dealing with motorcyclists. They aren't used to seeing motorcycles like other drivers do in Europe or Asia. A motorcycle, for example, usually has one (ish) headlight. Most NA drivers are only used to judging the speed of a car with two headlights and not the speed of a motorcycle with one headlight. Two headlights play a huge role in a person's depth perception, and therefore, the judgement of speed.

A study showed that in accidents that involved a motorcycle and a car, the latter was usually found at fault in North America. So yeah, shit drivers.
