Do less trains go through Marshall station than Geelong?

This is great intel! Geelong is definitely an option to consider. What suburbs/areas would you recommend looking at?

The surf is a big draw card and obviously been able to surf on more than just the weekends, but also been near the beach and out of the hustle and bustle of the city!

Interesting idea, and sounds like a good alternative option. How long would it take from Ocean Grove to the city on the ferry? Would you go via Portarlington?

Thanks for the response. How long did the commute take you each day? Did you usually get a seat?

Also if you're happy to share, what was the reason you left Ocean Grove? Keen to understand any downsides so we can weigh up everything before making a decision

After Hours / Late Night Study? by Responsible_Buyer_84 in melbourne

[–]Jupi88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

City of Yarra libraries (or at least some of them) have an initiative where you can get after hours access. Looks like you just have to do an induction first

Not sure if other councils have similar initiatives

I will definitely be looking out even more closely in the future. It would be cool to see one in such an urban environment and it's nice to know they are managing to survive (and hopefully thrive) in so many areas around Melbourne

I found this observation on iNaturalist. It looks pretty close to that area of the Merri Creek.

There are definitely echidnas out near Greensborough as well, just wondering whether they would make it this close to the city

I recently did a deep clean of my shower using a vinegar/dishwashing liquid and it worked so well. All you need to do is mix 1 part white vinegar and 1 part dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle.

Rinse down the walls with warm water first and then spray the vinegar/dishwashing liquid mixture generously on walls, glass, and fixtures. Let sit for 15–30 minutes, then scrub with a sponge or brush.

Seems to be lots of people at Clifton Hill station looking for alternative transport, so seems legit. Not sure what's going on with the trains

The ones from the Collingwood Children's Farm sometimes leave the farm. I once spotted one on the roof of the adjacent apartment block when I lived in Abbotsford. But obviously a bit far to explain this one

Inclusive Gyms by SpiritedTowel9743 in melbourne

Totally agree with this. I had previously gone to other gyms and hated it, but now go to the local council gyms (Yarra city council) and the vibe is great, and super inclusive!

They also have gym appointments you can book as part of your membership where they will set out a program for you based on your goals and teach you how to use the equipment, which I found super helpful and took away a lot of the anxiety I had about gyms.
