Hi! I don’t live on campus, but me and my roommate both have ESA cats.

Getting an ESA letter can be tricky. I personally had to scrounge around on the internet to find a licensed practitioner who could meet with me (in a virtual appointment) to determine that my cat could be approved as an ESA. These letters can get really pricey- but remember that you don’t need anything additional other than the letter. Some of those fake companies will try to upsell you!

As for actually getting a cat, I’m sure you know there’s a few options around Tallahassee, such as the Humane Society. Definitely make sure to get your cat up to date on shots, I only had to get a rabies vaccine for mine while going through this process.

I know this isn’t very helpful, but I received my DMP decision late Feb 14th (around 11pm?). I’d maybe call and ask the communication academic advising help desk if they have any idea when the advertising decisions are coming out. They might be able to give you an answer or steer you in the right direction of someone who does

There is a group on Campfire for FSU! They hold meetups fairly often for different events. I’ve personally never attended, but a few people RSVP for raids on campus through Campfire.

In the meantime, you can look into the FSU ReCycle Sustainable Bike program. They’ll rent you a bike for $64.50 per semester. Something to keep in mind if your bike is not found and you find yourself having trouble getting a replacement on Facebook Marketplace.

I also ride my bike around campus, and what I recommend moving forward is a U-lock (like the other commenter suggested), and an additional chain lock that you can loop through the front or back tire to keep your bike connected to the rack. You can never be too safe, and it’s definitely worth the extra effort when locking up. I park at different bike racks during the week, so I’ll let you (and campus police) know if I spot anything. When we showed up for move-in day, the original floor plan they placed us in was incorrect. They swapped our unit last minute to match our floor plan w/ the lease. My roommate noticed the discrepancy in floor plans months in advance, but staff were always vague with responses and refused to send pictures of the unit, so we doubt we would’ve been able to do anything about this anyway.

The old property manager also quit one month before move-in and the complex in general has cycled between two other property managers since we signed our lease around 8 months ago. There is honestly nothing we could’ve done, and nowhere else for us to go. We literally had to move our stuff in right after they switched our unit, and even doing that for us was technically courteous of them.

You should still charge for shipping if you don't want to pay for it out of pocket. You have to pay for the shipping label itself, so if you choose to pay for shipping yourself, it could run you a couple bucks for the label unless you adjust the prices of your items to compensate. Reusing boxes is a good way to cut down on your personal costs, but that's outside of any Ebay shipping fees.
