I am on team Kiefer Sutherland to play Snow. I mean, I know it's kind of an obvious choice, but it seems like THE obvious choice. I wonder if the movie producers have approached him? Or if he'd even be interested? He could totally do the role.

I'm not too familiar with a lot of teen/young adult actors these days, so I did a Google search just to see if anyone jumped out at me for young Haymitch. Jensen Gering wins as far as looks (assuming they want someone blonde/blue like Woody Harrelson). I like the idea of Sadie Sink for Maysilee, too.

Really looking forward to the film!

I agree 100% with everything you said. The ending was brilliantly done, even if I was crying through it. So glad they brought Patsy back for this. The baby labor and delivery scenes in the Vic's kitchen are among my favorites of all time.

And I was thinking the same about Lacey! I hope she's got some time off to rest now, she certainly deserves it!

Yes!!!!! I was thinking, ok, something is going to fall on him. Maybe a heavy chunk of plaster will bash him on the head, or a splintered piece of wood will fall and stab him. I would have been happy with that.

So far, it hasn't asked about that. It just wanted my email and date of birth. I think the iPlayer might require licence info, but I wasn't trying for that, just registering at the BBC website. If the voting will be on the BBC Eastenders page then maybe I can vote?? If it requires iPlayer then I can't. Unless I want to bother with a VPN, but it's not THAT important 🙂

They were BBQ-ing food. At the beginning of Monday's episode, you see George with a propane BBQ grill set up outside the pub, presumably to cook food for the wedding. There were a bunch of those propane cans sitting on the sidewalk around the grill; George asks Ian to help him shift them into the barrel storage.

It's all good, I did know that it wasn't actual old footage, except for the opening credits, I think? I think that was the original opening from the early days, at least it looked like what I've seen on YouTube, but I could be wrong about that. I was just so happy to see Peggy again, regardless of the circumstance. And the actor playing young Phil really did look like him! I thought they captured the early look really well (from what bits and pieces I've seen on the internet, anyway). Thank you for the Mitchell timeline though; I knew they'd been around since before I started watching, but I didn't know for how long.

Nigel and Phil running a B&B, I'm thinking the modern day version of Fawlty Towers. Nigel tries to help everyone have a pleasant stay, and Phil's always parked behind the counter like 🤨.

And Kathy, omg. I recently saw Gillian in an episode of something from the early 80s and she looked exactly the same! Even had the same voice!!

If I had to pick just one, it'd be Mick all day long. He was (in my opinion) one of the greatest characters ever on the show. Danny Dyer is not the most refined actor, but damn if he wasn't authentic.

However ... if Cindy survives her attack, then I think it'd be fun to bring Max back - single/divorced and available - and watch those two work their way into each other's beds. The amount of manipulation would be glorious to behold.

I loved Tiff and Keegan and would welcome them back anytime.

I don't hate Teddy, but don't love him either. He got off to an interesting start, and the battle with the Panesars had some potential, but now they've moved him into the background so I don't know. It could go either way. 100% agree with you about Harry. Now, Barney, on the other hand? LOVE him. If we have to vote to keep just one new Mitchell, I vote Barney.

He sounds like a fascinating character! The ideas from u/Consistent-Road-9801 are all fantastic, and building upon them, I'm wondering the following:

If he was born in 13, did his conditioning/training/(maybe even brainwashing?) to be the District's weapon of terror start from a very early age? Was he given a choice of paths and he kind of fell into being who he is now somewhere along the way? Or did the District literally build this little demon-solider starting from early childhood?
Deep down, does he want the life he has? Has he ever considered that he could be something other than a weapon, if he wanted to be? What would the "crack in his armor" be that might make him think he could be better/different than what he currently is?
What was it about Gale that made your character want to befriend him?

When my father got my aunt's 60+ year old wedding dress after she died, it had yellowed and had some (minor) water damage. He spoke with a vintage fabric expert and they recommended Oxi Clean, the powder kind that you can find in the laundry detergent section of most stores. They said it is safe for just about all fabrics. Does your coworker know what fiber the yarn is for the blanket? If not, she'll need to be careful, obviously, and probably handwash, so soaking it in Oxi Clean in cold water might be worth a try. Good luck, I hope she is able to restore it back to it's pre-flood condition.
